PlayfulOne -> RE: Screen names and RT (3/31/2006 5:24:10 PM)

My screen name is a reflection of me, the only place I use it is on line.
Kyle is my name and Daddy is what the little one usualy calls me

I usualy try to at least look at peoples profiles before making any judgments on their nic

sharpwittedfl -> RE: Screen names and RT (3/31/2006 7:24:09 PM)

I have used this nic or a slight variation of it for over 15 years. My biggest curiosity is that many people see it and immediately think I am male. It certainly weeds out the gender biased, ignorant and illiterate right off the bat.  Some nics are simply handy in that regard.

MstrFury -> RE: Screen names and RT (3/31/2006 7:24:36 PM)

I've been in the lifestyle so long I really don't think about the nic used...but upon reflection...I see that what I call myself has been from some impact or event in my life....

Hellspawn.....most see it as a single name and I soon accepted it as that...but behind the meaning....when I first came into the life I felt at that time I was a pawn of the devil..so many out of place events happening to me...hense...Hells pawn......with time...people condenced it and started calling my Spawn or Spawnie... got used to it and still answer to it to this day to all my really old friends...

MstrHellsFury.....the Mstr part was a title given to me by my slave/wife...the HellsFury....I still identified a part of me as Hellspawn but being poly at that time...my second..god bless her tender heart..found out she had stage 3 cancer...less than 6 months to live..and asked for her release so she could travel the world and see as much as possible before her end...I granted this..and I treasure all the letters and pictures..and phone calls to me...I saw the world through her eyes in a way I never would....but the anger inside me was so great my wife once said I was like a Fury tossing grains of sand at a oncoming train....that's where the HellsFury was born....many of my new and a few of my old friends now just call me Fury...(heck even my parents call me that now) they're quite aware of my lifestyle....

MstrFury....this one I use only on this site at this time...recent event on this site caused me to step away from it for awhile..and when coming back I'd taken down my old profile so therefore this was the closest to it....

two events..two names...same me........I don't have any others so..I don't hide from anyone looking for me...on any site..on any mail...I use who I identify myself as...at this stage in my life...it's MstrHellsFury on aol.yahoo.msn.rr.ect.....

TemptingNviceSub -> RE: Screen names and RT (3/31/2006 7:34:12 PM)

My Nic...humm..well I came up with it off the cuff and in a hurry, but wanted it to reflect my newness to this lifestyle.Hence NoviceSub..but then I felt it needed a little more so it was derived from another s/n that I have and Tempting was created........;0)

angelic -> RE: Screen names and RT (3/31/2006 7:40:50 PM)

i am angelic on 99.9% of the sites i am a member of.... have been for the past 8 years.  i know this will sound completely assinine, and totally stupid, but originally way back when i first discovered the net (about 8 years) i wanted to be angelique (after the witch on Dark Shadows)... for whatever reason i couldn't (back then) for the life of me remember how to spell her name... i've been angelic ever since... [:D]

LordKhensu -> RE: Screen names and RT (3/31/2006 7:50:56 PM)

Thank you IronBear for a more detailed explaination. I consider my strength one of my most cherished attributes! I have needed that inner strength on quite a few occasions. Thank god I learned it young.

LionessInBoots -> RE: Screen names and RT (4/1/2006 3:17:32 AM)

I would have choose The Lioness being My star sig is a Leo and I have a very protective nature, but it was taken allready so this is My chat nick in My D/s home online so I went with it. I do often wonder if nicks are part of the persons personality , but I always keep a open mind . .There is many facets to a person . just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder and dont judge a book by its cover. so get to know the person than if thier nick proves them to be unfavorable. you can always stop communication .just My own opinion.

slavejali -> RE: Screen names and RT (4/1/2006 3:29:47 AM)

Master told me to use my real name back when we were chatting, so I did, which I was kinda unhappy about at the time, but I'm cool with it now.

LionessInBoots -> RE: Screen names and RT (4/1/2006 3:37:55 AM)

very interesting! thank You for sharing smiles

Aneirin -> RE: Screen names and RT (4/1/2006 3:58:09 AM)

Regarding the choice of screen names,I am relatively new to collarme and had to think quite deeply what i should be known as.I rejected anything to do with lords or gods as I thought them pretentious and had no right to their use,not being a god or a lord,(although some family history research has found our branch of the family still holds the right to bear arms and has a coat of arms).
I chose the name aneirin, because it is simply a name I like, and no one on here had it.When I googled the name,I found it was the name of a sixth century celtic bard ,but I am no bard, celtic ancestry though I do have,so I was happy with that.
Some names I come across, names from religous beliefs, especially those relating to the belief in a dark or satanic belief I have to admit I stay clear of.Some of the more humourous names I have a chuckle at and think the owner is not taking life to seriously, which I like.
At the end of the day, screen names are just names to identify ourselves on this site,a disguise of a sort, what happens in the cyber world,a fantasy world may not interfere with our true lives unless we choose, which is good in a way as people can live their dreams without fear of ridicule in the real world.

Moloch -> RE: Screen names and RT (4/1/2006 8:00:46 AM)

Dictionnaire Infernal - Collin de Plancy (1863) (paraphrased)
Moloch was the god of the Ammonites, portrayed as a bronze statue with a calf's head adorned with a royal crown and seated on a throne. His arms were extended to receive the child victims sacrificed to him. Milton wrote that Moloch was a frightening and terrible demon covered with mothers' tears and children's blood.
Rabbis claim that in the famous statue of Moloch, there were seven kinds of cabinets. The first was for flour, the second for turtle doves, the third for an ewe, the fourth for a ram, the fifth for a calf, the sixth for a beef, and the seventh for a child. It is because of this, Moloch is associated with Mithras and his seven mysterious gates with seven chambers. When a child was sacrificed to Moloch, a fire was lit inside the statue. The priests would then beat loudly on drums & other objects so that the cries would not be heard.
