compare that to my previous link on how the Nazis introduced the National ID, (and we scoffed at it like it wouldn't happen here)

Don't forget, consolidation makes it easier. I mean really, why would the census ask what income you make, since the IRS already would have that one file? Why would they ask how many children? Schools would keep track of that (since they are city budget business), or if you own a farm/agro biz?

It is merely getting you used to the convenience and the accessability to your information (thanks to you being less prone to keep it all legally separated --as in church/state, life/liberty etc) in one place.

Which do you prefer? convenience (bank/debit cards only-cashless society, thus no privacy) or do you want freedom, liberty and the right of free commerce and value of privacy of the individual???

Your choice...every time you fill out something to 'get you used to'.... (as in the above link: Verrr are you papers/show me your papers).

So, should we all just give up and take our papers to show to big brother everytime they ask?

lol... i was just reading through all the possible uses for the Census numbers... and realized no one mentioned representation. It can be a useful thing. Plus, not to make light of what happened with the Japanese interment camps, the chances of that happening again... unknowingly.. as nosey as our media is (and thankfully at times) are slim to none.

Im sure anyone who wants to use the numbers for a specific, underhanded motive will find a way.. no matter what.

representation was the basis of the census to begin with. I believe Napoleon (and his henchmen) first had the concept. I will jog my memory on that soon (boy, I'm really outta practice uhg)

I don't know where you have been but honestly, the number of democratic countries since concept and now is hmm damn small.

I also, didn't check how old you are but the majority of the genocides and other atrocities have occured within THIS (past) century. Germany, Bosnia, Africa (limited census), Nazi Germany, Russia, CHINA, US and Canada.

how is that someone who believes they they should keep their eye on their own government or believes they have more rights than the government that elects em? sounds kinda lazy to me. Again, i never said be ignorant either. Honestly, all that info in the census form is the same info you give when you go to the Dr, purchase health insurance, when you apply for any government aid, grants or loans. you make it sound like they are asking for your personal bank account numbers. Hell, they can have mine, its typically at zero anyways.

I have my census for in hand. Where are the questions about income, medicare, ect ect? I kept hoping to see them, lest I be forced to believe that your link was a ludicrous attempt to frighten people unnecessarily. Darn it! there isnt any place I can type in crazy nut job data!! I want the proposed census form sent.

look back at the thread and read the census in your hands, it says 1/6 will get the long form. If you want the long form, then order it from the links I gave too. Eeesh why are so many people so eagar to ...dive???

My understanding is that they have a few different versions, some more or less intrusive.
