How about just "keep your fucking god out of my life," or is that somehow too complex for you to comprehend?

Rhetorical question there, don't strain yourself trying to come up with a coherent answer, Dr. Cold Fusion.

and which God is that?   LOL

LOLOLOLOLOOOLOOOO

Any god.

fine so your point is that anything that has anything to do with religion should be outlawed and since organic law is based in religion(s) that means you want ot wipe the slate clean and start over with your god, atheism

Organic law??

Isn't it the purpose of law to serve as a pesticide? [:D]

That's about it. I suppose he had to hurry off and change the oil on his fusion reactor. Perhaps he'll be back later to make up more things to attribute to me, and continue the discussion in my absence.

Mikey,I'm just curious here....how many people do you think are actually spending any appreciable amount of their time  wondering why you don't like America?
In a previous post you lamented how "this only goes to prove that history is a crock"...aren't you the one who told up you wouldn't read any history books during your oh so comprehensive education?
Mikey ,History isn't a crock ,it's what you see in the mirror when you shave that is a crock!

History IS a crock

i've also stated that, in all the jobs i've ever had (or even heard about) no employer has ever asked any questions that are in the history books. which makes history a selective subject of study, not a mandatory one.

So the only thing worth teaching our kids  in school are subjects which they will need to be hired in a job?

mikeyOfGeorgia -> RE: Texas Board of ED bans Thomas Jefferson from text books (3/13/2010 1:38:13 PM)

basically...yes. unless they wanna be record-keepers for historians.

Brain -> RE: Texas Board of ED bans Thomas Jefferson from text books (3/13/2010 1:39:47 PM)

Is this really what people want in schools ? Is the truth that distasteful to those that want to indoctrinate children to their political beliefs? These are the same fools that want to make the bible more conservative.

4. Of course the USA is a democracy, although some ideologues want to make it appear otherwise (I'm not even quite sure why - maybe it's because of the names of the parties?)

What? It's not a republic?

I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands,
one Nation under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Gerrymandering is another in the long list of things that is delightful, sunny, natural and good when the Dems do it but proof that Satan walks among us [sm=evil.gif] when the Republicans learn the same trick.

Yep, we got the shaft, and not a jar of Vaseline in sight [>:] The fuckers actually split my county in half!

Now, though I'm a life-long registered Democrat, I do vote per issue, and not all my beliefs are on the left, and I don't even necessarily disagree with some of that these jackasses are proposing in the textbooks, but as I posted earlier, some of it boggles my mind.

You know me better than that.

Someone has to draw up the lines, but there needs to be some sense involved, and as with most everything else, both sides certainly can fuck that up. But in my personal experience with it, it was the Repubs that fucked my county.

So no music, no foreign languages, no art, no physical education, no health classes, no social studies... just reading, writing, and rithmetic? Makes for a pretty ignorant, unimaginative population, wouldn't you think?
