Oh, I am sorry. I pointed you to the wrong event. I meant the Repub retreat that the President attended. Towards the end of it the President even admits that he saw the 20+ bills that the Repubs attempted to present, and that they had sent him a summary of all of those bills. He stated he would discuss them at a later time, and of course nothing came of it.

I do agree with you about there being enough blame to go around on this issue though. The Repubs could have easily attempted to get some of the easier things passed while they held the majority and the White House. However, being locked out of Pelosi and Reids' offices should not fall at their feet.

I was waiting for someone to post something about this. I dont understand what is going on well enough to make an intelligent post about it but this caught my eye as to how many issues/questions get dealt with in relationship with some men. [/highjack]

If it were up to cucky, anyone that cant afford health insurance or makes less than 100k a year would be dead, thus the problem is solved.

I owned a 'D' unit (33,000gvw 6 wheeler) leased to Fed Ex Custom Critical expedited freight division of Fed Ex Corp, as an investment, and drove some trips to learn of the business...on one of these trips, we delivered a big hydralic pump to Bombardier Corp to the Canadian town of Valcourt (east of Montreal).  We arrived there some two hours ahead of scheduled delivery, and stopped at a Tim Horton's coffee shop to get a danish and some coffee while we waited for our scheduled delivery time.  I noticed in the darkness, across the street (its 04:30 EST mind you) and I saw a line of people standing in the darkness outside of a building with no lights on.....and asked the counter worker what that was all about?  She told me simply.."Oh, that's the health care clinic line"... "they open at 7am"....  I looked over there to see little ladies that looked to be in their 80's standing outside in that line with the outside air temp hoverning in the high 30's F...... I was flabergasted to say the least....... and this is Canadian healthcare?....no thanks....

not to mention that if you drive to Rochester Minn to the Mayo clinic, its not hard to notice that half of the cars in the visitor parking lots have Canadian license plates...!!!  Ever wonder why?

Ah and that would be the typical response, at least ANYONE in Canada can see a doctor when they need to. At any time I can go to the emergency room if I'm sick or hurt. Like I said it isn't ideal but is it better that the only people with access to health care are those who can afford it? I really know nothing about how the specific health care clinic your refering to works, but if these women were in urgent need of care, any hospital would take them in. Who knows the reasoning that they were standing outside waiting for that specific clinic to open. I do know from many personal experiences, that any time you go to a hospital for urgent care you are brought inside, yes you may have to wait but such is the case when people go for things as small as the common cold. If you walked in bleeding on the other hand, by all means they'd take care of you.

And yes they do.. those are the people who can AFFORD to see alternative care in the US, however if you aren't made of money you can still get health care here in Canada. Its just with the way the American system currently works if we want to pay the extra money we can to be treated.
Hello Country chick, and welcome to the boards...allow me to explain something to you about our friend cucky...he is what is know around here as being just a little bit off...know what I mean?
Prone to threatening to feed liberals to gators and such....likes to talk about Spector gunships(some sort of helicoptor) with Vulcan 40 mm guns (this tidbit I have been informed is strictly from his imagination...there is no 40mm Vulcans...lol)and cleaning out the cesspools that our large cities have deteriorated into...Cleaning them out of all the evil liberals that is.Hell cuck has even been known to make thinly vieled threats towards our President(why the secret service hasn't grabbed him up is anyones guess).
The rest of us usually just respond to him in jest, though I do it in hopes of actually sending him over the edge....I don't think he actually has the balls to hurt anyone mind you...but I do imagine a post of mine sending him out to perform mayhem in his garden or something..at least that's my desire...with cuck its anyones guess what is truly going on behind those senior citizen eyes.
Enjoy.

Notice how the cons, who hate activist judges making law from the bench, now want activist judges to overturn a law they don't like? Another fine conservative bedrock principle thrown out when the shoe is on the other foot.

More veiled threats against elected officials, Cucky? Smile and wave at the nice man from the Secret Service...

Free societies are far from perfect, but when compared to a communist society, I will take the free one every time.....

cuckyman -> RE: Health care passes (3/21/2010 11:39:47 PM)

Pray show me where in the constitution might one find the right for the government to force citizens to buy health care?  It does not take an 'activist' judge to realize a constitutional violation..... and if this one is not, then pray tell me what might be one?

When a society is free...does that mean they are allowed to go in a direction that just might anger some crotchety old white man?

Typical lib, lie, misquote and demean any thing that he and his 'enlightened' libs think to be true...typical of a Marxist scumbag.... and by the way, the 40mm Vulcans are mounted on "Spector" birds...(HC-130 Hercules gunships that fly out of Hulbert AFB, three miles from my home).... they fly around and fire every night on the Eglin AFB gunnery range as part of their training to support special ops in our deployed forces for Central Command in Tampa.... againk it would be helpful if you knew what the hell you talked about dummy..... I am just a man like millions of others, that despise liberal pukes..... I just enjoy calling them on their lying bloviations....

Well ideally a government wouldn't have to force its citizens to buy health care, ideally a government would provide its citizens with access to universal health care. Just like a government provides citizens with things like roads and schools and parks and community spaces..

Anyone that does not live in the northeast, the west coast, or the rust belt, and disagree's with the socialist is a "far far rightie" to most libs..... glad to be counted in that number....

Actually, when you pick up that kind of vibe, it's coming from farther back than either wing.

This land was founded on the principals of the free market doing what is needed...I have not found a government run enterprise that is not inept, corrupt,  overpriced, and lame in its execution...but always there are people that want something to be 'provided' for them for free by having others have to pay for it..... we call them democrats...they also believe in the tooth fairy.....!

Sorry, Charlie, that little fantasy been put to bed year after year. The last study of cross border patients, using US hospital records, found that "the hordes of people fleeing Canadian health care for treatment in the U.S. was actually an infinitesimal 0.046% over five years."

Besides, it's hard to get past the lines of buses coming to Canada for reasonably-priced medicine.

I'm thrilled that American men, women, and children, finally, are closer to getting decent health care without those insurance company death panels.

Cucky, once more you have managed to prove just how ignorant you are.

TO WHIT:

The Lockheed HC-130 is an extended-range, search and rescue (SAR) and combat search and rescue (CSAR) version of the C-130 Hercules transport. HC-130H and HC-130J versions are operated by the United States Coast Guard in a SAR and maritime reconnaissance role and the HC-130N and HC-130P/N models are operated by the United States Air Force, who use the aircraft in both SAR and CSAR roles for long range
search and to extend the range of combat search and rescue helicopters by providing air refueling and to execute on scene CSAR command and control.

IT IS THE The Lockheed AC-130 gunship is a heavily-armed ground-attack aircraft. The basic airframe is manufactured by Lockheed, and Boeing is responsible for the conversion into a gunship and for aircraft support. It is a variant of the C-130 Hercules transport plane. The AC-130A Gunship II superseded the AC-47 Gunship I in the Vietnam War.

Now while you keep claiming to be a vet, you seem to have the uncanny ability to completely get some basic information wrong.

You seem to think this is an economic issue...it most certainly is not...it is in fact a simple question of whether we ,as a great and compassionate country ,can assure all of its citizens access to basic health care.

give me a break

its all about business and if you think health care was expensive wait till you see what it costs with the middle man.

cuckyman -> RE: Health care passes (3/21/2010 11:53:05 PM)

Ever been to the Mayo Clinic?....or are you another democrat that argues with a sign post?
