ORIGINAL: Thadius [...] Having experienced the violence and rhetoric of both white and black hate groups first hand, I think I have a pretty good handle on how I distinguish between those spewing rhetoric and those that intend to be violent. Then again the NBPP is never in the news, so they shouldn't be worried about. Oh wait they have been in the news... They even got upset when the sheriff told them that he would arrest members if they carried firearms to the protest they were planning. They called the warning a threat. IF they were going to protest peacefully, why would they need to be armed, or why would they consider the sheriff's warning a threat? There are plenty more examples, this one is just from the past week... They even raised enough attention that the fucking bedding wearing goat fuckers had time to plan a counter rally. I suppose you didn't read any of what the ADL wrote in their report about the NBPP, or you wouldn't be claiming that they are simply a group organized because of hate, they are a group organized to act militantly based on that hate. The ball is in your court. They are a small, illegitimate hate group. They have little support, few members, no money, no plan...just hate filled rhetoric. Aren't you one of those people who run around these boards crying "free speech! free speech!" or is that just free speech for the white "patriot" extremists? The SPLC is monitoring them. If they engage in criminal activity, they can share a cell with those Michigan Militia dimwits. What more do you want me to say? I suppose you haven't seem my topics actually supporting the demonstrators of both sides? I have no problem with these groups shouting from the rooftops what they want to say, it is when they resort to or threaten violence that I have an issue. For a small illegitimate group, they sure do have quite a few chapters (19 according to the SPLC), they have at least one television show that I know of. Oh and the only part that can be described as illegitimate is that they are not an offshoot of the original Panthers. They are also a bit larger than that group that was just raided here in Michigan. One more kind of interesting thing to keep an eye on, since you are interested in such things... quote:
Interesting read. President Obama or Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. should declare publicly whether executive privilege has been invoked in the Justice Department's refusal to release documents showing why voter-intimidation charges against the New Black Panther Party were dismissed, says the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Declaring an impasse in negotiations between the commission and the department, Commission Chairman Gerald A. Reynolds said the Justice Department has "repeatedly refused" to provide any basic information regarding the case, instead asserting "vague and generalized privileges" that do not apply.
