That is BRILLIANT.

I am embarrassed that I didn't think of it first.

I really need my place cleaned, but I am much to dominate to do it myself.

A question GL?.........  Since I have kidnapped her, I would have to kill her after she is done cleaning. Then I would have to kidnap another to clean up THAT mess.  Where would it end?

Oh no My Dear! Make them kill themselves out in the forest. Your the Dominant remember? Don't soil yourself with the dirty work.

I myself wonder what they are being protected from? Are there wandering bands of ruthless Dominants I don't know about that will kidnap a submissive against their will and make them pick up dry cleaning or walk dogs? I just think it's another type of Domination or control. If everyone is happy then it's all good. However, as a Dominant I would never consider a submissive if they are under protection. If a sub is incapable of managing their own affairs I don't want them because I don't like to micromanage.

I was getting all exited there until you went to the dry cleaning, dog walking dynamic... What happened to kidnapping and exquisite torturing????

basically its to tell any D type that passes through that the sub is to some extent or another 'taken' and they should move right along.  its claim staking, pure and simple.

I think you've hit the nail on head with this line Lally.

I have "Owned" slapped all over both profile and intro thread as a way of saying I'm in a relationship and I'm not looking.
This and not having personal pictures does keep the outside Dom demands to a minimum but then there are the illiterate, greasy cum stains who still have to try their luck.
Deleting their PM's and blocking user is a godsend when dealing with those with limited comprehension skills.

It's an antiquated term meaning that a man has some responsibility for the sub. In the context of BDSM it means that the dom is master of that sub. See rule 10.

This seems to be more common on Fet than here on CM and I'm sure it's different than "Under Consideration", which I understand but just think is silly since that goes without saying when starting any relationship. I guess I'll go ask over at Fet where they like putting that and see what I get.

Thanks for the laughs, I'm sure now that it's not something I should concern myself with, but I'm curious anyway. I'm really not into all the protocol and ritual, this seems to be more of that.

Under Protection could mean they have a Mentor looking out for them, because they are inexperienced or possibly widowed. Dealing with that package deal could be a pain. Some subs have used Under Protection or Under Consideration to try and keep persistent stalkers that they are not interested in away, especialy at scene events.

I believe the exquisite torture was covered in the Rapture Dom thread. This seems to be a thread more focued on real danger rather than fun danger. Or maybe not? Who knows what being under protection is about?

I still think a collar of protection sounds like a magic armour item from WOW or D&D, "+5 against HNGs!" Or, maybe a flea collar, or a necklace made of condoms, I suppose. Training collars, on the other hand, are to keep the Dominant from falling off. Seriously, I only know of one person who has used the "under protection" bit who had any in-person involvement with the protector whatsoever. She was new to the local scene, and felt better going to the local events at the dungeon with a friend of hers.

Subs have been known to ask if they can do this in the vain hopes they'll get less irritating mail.

OP:

I think a lot of submissives who are naive AND realize that they're naive put "under protection of ______" on their profile in an awkward and ineffectual attempt to scare away anyone who might be trying to prey upon their naivete. They haven't the common sense to weed out inappropriate matches for themselves, so they put up a "beware of dog" sign in the hopes that it'll substitute.

Also, I can kinda see the top part of your junk.

wittynamehere- I cropped the photo myself, you can't see any "junk" (horrible term). It's your imagination, good way to use it. Really need a new photo anyway.

I once was protecting a sub. I didn't do a very good job. She ended up getting fucked in the ass, humiliated, pissed on and her spirit was broken.

I'll take a contrary view.  I have known submissives who needed that.  They had consistently made bad choices, and I stepped in to screen out people they could not, due to inexperience or emotional issues.
