Do you have any idea just how bowed YOU are to the Crown?

I note how some are mad about China.  Well he DID also bow to the Queen. Was that ok? Why or why not?

No.

Ahhh PA PA PA, do you know the power a Man can show by simply bowing his head in greeting to a woman? The bow is centuries old and many men especially in higher formal social functions, still practice that and "gasps" the whispering a kiss of the hand when greeting women.

When a Man of power is dressed to me in a tux or a perfectly cut suit who executes a bow of the head to you, believe me, it isn't a concept of showing me any form of indication he is granting me some superiority or oneup on him, in fact, it does at times place the power where it belongs in his hands, because damn does it make my knees go weak lol. To me, the Queen does look a little flirty in that pic. :-)

Seriously, PA, while i understand where you believe you are coming from, its not that deep. Its simply for many a courtesy and only has meaning IF the Man chooses to apply some other meaning to it.

For most its a lost artform, but i am really glad it hasn't been completely lost. Also, if people will notice in the above photo, the Men are shaking hands also, which is an American custom.

And Michele was exactly right in not curtsing. That to me would have been wrong. However, she also could have inclined her head and been perfectly correct in etiquette.

What the fuck are you talking about now!?

Honestly, this is getting more and more ridiculous and inexplicable by the moment.

She did so very discreetly prior to President Obama's bow, but there was a little flap because she "touched" the Queen.

On a serious note HK, I am tending to suspect something similar. There is something not quite right, more so than ever before, and more so than could be explained by "intellectual curiosity and an active imagination" to quote the conspiracy theorists' psychology thread.

It makes me wonder whether to stop interacting with him at all - you know, "if you cant say anything nice......." and all that?

I nod my head or 'bow' to people I respect/don't know as a sign to tell them with no words

"I mean no harm."

It is not like the Queen will sucker punch Obama because he is not looking.

The End.

Oh geesh, now touching is hard because there are many foreign nations who are not comfortable with that lol. Americans have a hard time with that because in all actuality we are a very touchy feely Nation.

You might remember my old nic - Hippiekinkster.

His postings of over a year ago were sometimes off the wall, but usually coherent. Now, it's like reading the output of one of those random phrase generators. I'm guessing it's symptomatic. Sad.

I've already pulled the plug on BizarreNeoNaziOne. If one gets sucked into a discussion with someone about what color Unicorns are, then one is validating their insanity. I seem to recall it took me about 2 weeks after I joined CM the first time around to put him on ignore. My response time is now much improved.

THE QUEEN DOES PUSH DOPE!
April 13, 2010 (LPAC)-- Yes, Mabel, the Queen of England does push dope. Anyone who seeks to deny this now, is worse than a Nazi-like liar. Worse, her government is presently engaged in the greatest attempt at mass-murder, planet-wide, in world history to date. In her regime's effort to bring about the great, world-wide genocide advocated by the World Wildlife Fund of her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, her minions have also attempted to destroy the most prominent force against genocide operating world-wide today, the Catholic Church. Worst of all, she is using her dupe, the Nero-like, would-be, Hitler-like mass-murderer President Barack Obama, in the effort to accomplish those Hitler-copied objectives. We wish to say next to nothing here about British sex practices such as those associated with types such as the late John Maynard Keynes, et al.. We stick to the issue of her government's resort to the combined practices of genocide and drug-pushing. The methods for promoting the destruction of civilization through opium production in Afghanistan is now McChrystal-clear. One of the leading features of the practices of the drug-pushing British monarchy, is the British effort to destroy the Catholic Church, world-wide, in an attempt to eliminate that Papacy which continues to be the chief opponent of British-orchestrated campaigns of genocide throughout the world at large, as the British Empire has done in Africa for about two centuries. We are not certain that certain oddities of the behavior among the Yahoos of the British Isles are to be class as being exactly sexual behavior; fecundity does not appear to be a purpose in that practice among the figures deployed on the playing fields of Eton. The purpose of preying upon -----------deleted-------y among the clergy and others, has long thought to have been a mark of British upper-class breeding, as much as anything else. Apparently, the British clergy have enjoyed no monopoly on the specific form of amusements. To anyone possessed of an active adult mind should recognize immediately, the British monarchy's efforts to destroy the Catholic Church, is intended to wipe out the world's traditionally leading adversary of the practice of genocide among governments. In the meantime, the very strong suggestion in the atmosphere today, is that now that the Nero-like President Barack Obama has virtually used up his usefulness to his British master, points to the intention, from among their quarters, to bring about that President's assassination as a means for unleashing a dictatorship in a U.S. now threatened with a London-inspired assassination of the unfortunate, used- up tool Obama./SNIPhttp://larouchepac.com/node/14157

Fast Reply ;

In my limited understanding, I see a bow, nod of the head or wink of the eye as a sign of respect, the former moreso than the latter and applicable in the proper circumstance. But I have to draw attention to the belief by some that Obama is bowing so low as if he was to shine shoes, I just have to ask, perhaps confirm, but I feel this is a racialy motivated saying, given what people of Obama's colour did in the past. Are they that believe Obama in his actions of respect to others is showing anything other than respect, or is it the belief the president being the head of state should not offer respect to another head of state ?

He's clearly insane - hence though libel may be actionable in itself it would be more civilised to leave him to rant and dribble in a padded cell.

Absolutely not.

He should have distracted her with a few pithy, baffling threats while Jimmy "The Mouth of the South" Hart came up behind her and drilled her with a folding chair.  Then, while casually pinning her with his size 12 Ferragamo tassel loafer, he should have called for the mic and announced "That's for Crispus Attucks, you sherry swilling crumpet muncher."  Hart should then have removed the crown from her head and placed it upon Obama's head so he could have followed Jerry Lawler and Harley Race as "King Barak Obama."

Sure he would've gone from a face to a heel, but he'd have been the first American President since Truman to hold both the Intercontinental Championship and the title of King.  He'd have been a lock to square up against Putin for the World Championship Belt and our retirement funds and oil supply would once again be safe.

I care about the economy. I care about health care. I care about ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I care about fixing Social Security and Medicaid.

I just don't give a damn whom the President shows the courtesy of a bow. His call.

Is this in the same way that the native Americans ancestral homeland is OCCUPIED by white Americans?  When are you planning to give that back, I wonder?

Well ... I'd say so, and also no plans to hand anything back.
