Status: offline 		good looking to me includes good hygiene, body language that does not transmit "arrogant, self-absorbed asswipe", and once intros are made: an interest in things outside ones self, humor, an ability to not take ones self too seriously, intelligence..loads of other factors, but those are BIG things to me.

Just because someone fits the media-driven ideal of what is attractive does NOT mean I would find them physically appealing.  Johnny Depp at his scruffiest appeals to me... but that has more to do with the things I have heard about him as a PERSON than his outward appearance.

Russel Crowe... scruffy.. PHYSICALLY same general appeal.. what I hear about him as a PERSON negates any potential physical appeal.

Status: offline 		I was going to post something along the lines of "come on now, statistically speaking, attractive people are more successful."  But then I stopped to think of the people who are in the top 10 slots for richest person(s), and I had to rethink that.  Most of those wealthy, successful business people are NOT what I'd call at all attractive.  Soo, meh, never mind.  Yeah I just posted a post to say I decided not to post.  Go figure.

Status: offline 		Wow...I've only read two pages of this, and I just gotta say.....you're gonna be one lonely little lady.......good luck finding the substance needed for here....enough has been said about looks fading, but you know something, you're a hundred times uglier than what you would consider the most unattractive person here......of course, that's just my opinion......

I don't know if this is really disagreeing, but those fancy hairdos do nothing for me for example. I see more of a turnon when it is all tossed over, basically FUBARed, like in the morning. And at that time neither has had a shower so everything should smell at least OK. That's horny time for some.

I am truly a slob, seriously. But if I am going to be with someone I have the decency to clean up. If they don't like what they see after the dirt is gone, to hell with them.

Status: offline 		i hear where you were coming from and I completely agree with what you listed as well. I was strictly talking purely physical attributes as it where. If a person is stuck up or overtly full of him/herself then any attraction is lost.

Status: offline 		Yikes!  A couple of people sent Me messages about how huge My thread had gotten, but oMg this is hilarious.  I just stated My opinion and everything blew up.  I don't even know why people are still hanging around here, the thread is basically over, I already told you all I'd pretty much had My question answered already just by the defensive denials people were making.  I guess I just find the fascination funny...My thread is over, move on with your lives lol.

I always chose personality before looks as quite frankly personality is there for you if you ever need a friend ... looks vanish from one sunbed, to the next hairdresser, to the next beauty treatment all the time....I have neither time for such people nor would I waste money to unneccessarily damage my skin with such crap...I sorted out a lot of shallow fools like you and as one of the guys I am still friends with blamed me at times "black or white, cut or dry"....yep, thats how I am...as I quite frankly don't have time to waste with shallow fools who just waste my time...my time is prescious to me in real life and I don't waste it on shallow folks.

Did you somehow think you could retain control over the thread? Do you think we will move on because you told us too? Hell, I agree with your OP but I am having fun and I get to post attractive dog pics like this one of Lance Hughes.

It's quite simple, really. People who are told looks matter will only deal with it if they think the person making the statement is worth what it is they are seeking.

I've only seen one thread and one other post from you and it's very clear to me -- you're not. You are the type of person who reminds me of that joke about the woman who takes out an ad looking for a mate and demands that he be hot, rich and able to shower her with gifts and the one guy who replies to the ad lays out how his money and worth are both appreciable assets while her looks will only depreciate over time. Thus, she's not worth it.

You haven't taken out any ads like that recently...have you?
