cuckoldmepls -> ABC News Reports 59% Agree with Az. Immigration Law (5/14/2010 8:48:52 AM)

Let me tell you something. If the politically correct media reports that 59% agree and support Arizona, that means in reality it's more like 65% who agree with their new law, and even more people agree that the federal government is failing to fulfill their constitutional responsibilities for securing the border. You will never have any issue in America where more people are in agreement on.

What's even more surprising is that ABC News actually put the poll on the air, considering that they normally don't present any evidence that supports the the general population on liberal issues.

Mexico is becoming destabilized politically. I agree that there needs to be reform as violence is coming over the border, drug violence. The biggest part of the problem is that our people use drugs and Mexican drug cartels supply these drugs. We can do something about this, end the prohibition on drugs. This would strengthen Mexico and decrease violence.

I would argue that we should treat those attempting to cross to escape violence as refugees.

Now, here is the thing, I think most Americans are ignorant about their constitution. I do not want Big Brother asking for my papers, and I will not go to a state where they shit on the Constitution.....  fuck Arizona

Does that mean you would refuse to show a police office your drivers license for a traffic stop ?

The results of the following online (non-scientific) poll are kind of interesting:

quote:

...97.6% of the respondents to this L.A. Times poll were opposed to the boycott of Arizona. The poll question: "Was the L.A. City Council right to pass a boycott of Arizona?" Here are the results:
Yes. Arizona needs to feel the consequences of enacting a bad law. 2.1% (378 votes)

Yes, though the boycott should be more of a symbolic gesture than an official measure. 0.4% (64 votes)

No, but only because doing so is probably illegal and not in L.A.'s interest. 4.2% (771 votes)

No. The city should mind its own business. 93.4% (17,030 votes)

Ja, who gives a fuck, just cuz 60-90% of people jump off bridges does that mean you should too?

ENFORCE THE LAW.  WE ARE ALREADY PAYING TO ENFORCE IT.  Write your legislators.  get mad.

That is a completely different situation.

Being required to show you are licensed to operate a vehicle while operating a vehicle and being suspected of violating a traffic law is not the same as being asked to produce identification for no reason.

These numbers do not surprise me. People are tired of nothing being done about illegal immigration. In their minds, any action is better than no action.. short of murder of course.

Driving is a privilege. We have no right to drive. There are times when age needs to be proven to buy certain products, such as guns, booze and tobacco.

I should have the right just to exist without being hassled by the Man. If I am not breaking laws, loitering, buying products that society has agreed need to be restricted, well.... there is no reason for a cop to ask me for ID. In this country we have a constitutional right to be protected from unreasonable search and seizure. This law is an abridgment of the constitution....

I am extremely proud to say that an organization that I belong to was slated to hold our conference in Phoenix next year. I protested that, along with many others in this organization... we aren't going to Phoenix next year. I am boycotting AZ. LA is boycotting AZ.

You know, there was this country that made people prove who they were. Many of the people who had the wrong last name were deported. Then this country noticed that there were so many of these people with the wrong last names they started to put them into camps until they could decide what to do with them, and then they decided they needed to kill them...

You know, White Power groups are behind this law in AZ...

There was another country, if you were Brown colored you had to show your papers. If you did not have your papers you could be arrested... that country was South Africa....

I could find other examples

"The man"?

The solutions you have offered, that i have seen, is to provide immediate legalization to these people who are here illegally and to legalize drugs so the economy of Mexico can prosper.

Yet, both of these are, currently, against the law.

Isnt being here illegally against the constitution as well? If we wish to use the Constitution as a reason to protect our own rights, we must use that same document to deny the actions of others who do not enter this country legally.

You know, when wars break out around the world the neighbors of those countries are expected to take in some of the refugees. If they do not the world tends to look down on them for not considering human suffering and rights. Now you may not want to look at what is happening down in Mexico as a war, but it is a war. This war is funded by OUR people buying drugs. You are stating that we have no responsibility? It is our prohibition against drugs that has caused the destabilization of the Mexican government.

Do you have a better solution? I would recommend that you consider who is responsible for the drug money crossing the border before you answer

servantforuse -> RE: ABC News Reports 59% Agree with Az. Immigration Law (5/14/2010 10:23:21 AM)

I think that the residents of Arizona hope that 100,000 or so illegal immigrants join in your boycott.

looks to me like people jumping off bridges and running around like chickens with their heads cut off.  If you feel strongly about illegal aliens, write and call your legislators, your enforcement agencies, the cops the mayors the governors the IRS.

Enforce the fucking law.  So, you make another law to ignore...feel better?  you might feel better but look stupider.

Me, I could care less in the scheme of things about illegals, like I say, it aint you choppin cabbage or picking turkeys.

cuckyman -> RE: ABC News Reports 59% Agree with Az. Immigration Law (5/14/2010 10:31:30 AM)

This is all about politics... the democrats are shopping for votes because they know what is coming...they are throwing Arizona to the wolves since it is a red state, and they are ginning up support from the Latino community by being lax on illeagal immigration. Now Arizona has stepped up to save their state by being overrun by illeagals and drug crime, and this lame ass socialist bunch is attacking them on race lines.... The nation sees thru this shit and this will NOT save Obama's ass.... he is going to be de-balled in November and thrown out of office in 2012.... deficits and unemployment will seal his fate, and no playing with the latino community is going to save his ass.... He will go down with the numbnuts Carter as the worst ever..... god what a waste of time and effort....wish we were like the Brits and could vote this asshole out with a no confidence vote tommorrow....he would be on the street if we could....

Yeah, they may think twice when they have to do their own yard work, watch their own children, and move their own furniture[;)]

They are also losing legitimate visits from Mexicans, as Mexico is telling their people to stay out of AZ. I hope this law ruins AZ economically
