i was just wondering if other subs and slaves out there have tempers and how do they deal with them? How do you deal with it when you feel you are in the right and are trying to defend an order you were given but the norm is to do something else in everybody else's eyes?

Master deals with the latter by punishing me. I don't really understand your second question ... why in the world would you try to defend an order you were given? It's not yours to defend. It's just yours to obey. So kind of a wierd question to me. ~sgs

Haha, why yes, yes I have a temper....but it doesn't really come into play in that context. However, I suppose I think the answer is simple. The only person that decides what is best for you in the end really is you. If the order is along the lines of doing something you feel is unhealthy for you, it doesn't matter what anyone says. If it's something minor, I guess it depends on your dynamic, I personally wouldn't challenge an order like that or worry too much about it. But then again, my dynamics tend to be such that I don't WANT to do that at all. Yours may be different. Maybe more info would be more helpful for better and less meandering advice such as mine? [:D]

maybe i should rephrase the later part of my question. i was on a chat and the norm was to go somewhere when not serving and the person i was playing with left with a specific order to stay in that spot. well i guess it wasn't in the norm and i got booted from the chat after a bit for not going back to my cage willfully and again when i came back with an attitude

You gotta be you. Now that last question makes me wonder if you are compatible with the master you chose to serve. Only you can answer that. Now as for the question "do slaves have tempers" I uhm...plead the fifth...[:-][&:] edited to add: in a play context (online in chat rooms) just go with the flow I guess.

Pffft.................. chatroom politics? Come on....that's not a dynamic or something I really going to address sorry. Anonymous people on the net that try to dictate my behavior in the guise of "dominance" are deluded in my opinion, I can't help ya, sorry.

There are a few emotions i gave up paying any regard to as i see them as essentially useless as a slave. Anger is one of them. i do get angry at times, yes, but i don't have to express that anger - it is emotionally mature to not do so. Instead i can either be honest with my Master (i'm currently unowned) and talk with him calmly about my emotions, if he chooses to listen to them - or simply do as i'm told, which is generally always the better choice. Typically just doing as i'm told and focusing on moving through any emotions i might have deals with them appropriately and they just go away. Think about this: all anger is is judging someone else for not doing something your way, or for them not feeling how you think they should feel - both of which are very judgmental actions. People don't always do the right thing, and they don't always do what you think they should - even Masters. The art comes in the acceptance and letting go of judgment. Because really, all the ultimately matters is the relationship - and there's very, very little i would be willing to cling to so emotionally (like anger) to risk the sacrifice or loss of the relationship with my Master.

Anger is often a secondary reaction. A mask to what one is really feeling. Anger is seen as a strength, for good or bad. Without anger to mask us, we might show ourselves to be afraid. Fear is seen as a weakness. * i am slow to anger, should i sense something that could fuse at my temper, i address the concern to Master. i trust in his abilities. * No, i do not question him. Before this band of steel went on my neck, i had the greatest level of trust for him that i could share with another soul. Learn what you must, and talk with your partner.

slams her head against the keyboard I'm sorry OP, I would suggest finding a new chatroom that's a bit more relaxed, as I understand it, there are tons of them out there. The temper concept is a good topic though, someone start a thread on it!
