In a situation such as the op refers to, the chatroom site rules take precedence. So if someone else orders you to violate the rules, you should remind them that you'll get banned if you do so. If they still try to get you thrown out, then you know they aren't good people to play with since you can't play with them if you aren't allowed in the room. But basically, that's how we operate. If his rule is going to cause severe hardship, then I tell him why I can't do it. And I have tiered rules so if there's a conflict, I know which to follow. Because otherwise, if you aren't supposed to leave the house and you get a call that your dearest friend has been rushed to the hospital, are you willing to be punished for going to her bedside? What if it were your parent or your child? Smart dominants don't set up situations where they have to punish someone for doing the right thing. Hell, what if it were him in the hospital?

I'd reword your statement as follows... Slaves most certainly do have tempers. We're people, after all. An interesting observation I've noticed in my time here, and as someone who has experienced both online 'dominants' and more recently, real-life experience (mmmm, sooooo much better). It seems like only those people who have experienced BDSM in a purely fantasy, online capacity ask questions like this. As if submissives/slaves/bottoms are not actually people, but only objects and need permission to breathe or think. Has it always been this way since the advent of the internet? Or is this some new fad over the last couple of years, to completely dehumanize submissives in an online forum? Is it the whole unattainable fantasy thing? Just a lack of real knowledge? Hollywood schewing the reality of BDSM? And more importantly... can I have a coconut cupcake too????

I don't believe I'm about to say this, because I'm gonna be pulling out the big F Bomb here, actually a few F's. Get the FUCK away FROM the FAKE Wankers in the Fucking Chat Rooms!!! Merry Meet Wiccan Slave Do I have a temper? Yes, and a short fuse, though I have learned to control it 98% of the time. The way I have learned how to do that is to count to 5 or 10, depending how fast I can defuse, and think. If Master has anger me, it usually is 1 or 2 things, resistance on my part, or we have a problem. Either way, He expects me to let him know what is going on in my head. He will choose the right time to discuss it. That is with Sir and me. Now in other circumstances, I have other measures I use: I stay out of situations that anger me; role playing, when not own, chatrooms where they come off as know it all, were everything is black and white. Usually, in my case, when someone(s) see things so black and white, they are selling something and do not have the desire to listen. They might pretend they are listening, but they are thinking of how to sell you into their 'truths', which to me is stinky stuff:). I also do not respond to people, be it on a message board, in real life, or any other venue, who has that type of mentality. Yes, there are times, their ignorance gets to me, and I know I can shred them in a second, but then I tell myself, so you going to sell them too? That stops me in my tracks. I do a lot of meditation during the day as well to keep myself center. I am polite by nature, and the majority of the time through having a meditative mind, and a lot of activities that I enjoy, people do not get a reaction out of me. Perhaps this is in desire to serve my Goddess more then anything. Words to me can be use to build or become poison arrows, and I learned to contribute to this world without these nasty arrows. We all get angry and the temper wants to surface. It is up to the individual on what type of control works best for them. SpiritofaSub counts to 10. That would never work for me (i think once, on a really good day, i made it to 3). My method is to simply turn and walk away....sometimes when hubby is still talking. Rude? Yeah..but not nearly as bad as it would be if i stayed and let my temper take over.
