Why would anyone neglect to change the oil in a new car or allow their home to remain in disrepair? If a Man owns a girl, He must cherish that gift…nurture it and enhance the quality. Most don’t realize the responsibility of accepting owning a girl… she is not capable of success or failure on her own. If she fails Him, He is responsible for that failure. If she becomes the gem that she can be, He created her.

You don't really believe this, do you?

To me, the above statement means that you either don't understand or value your sub,  or you seek out the broken.  Neither is a good thing.

Hopefully, any sub woman who reads your post will run in the opposite direction.  You don't seem to be qualified to be anyone's "Dom".

Status: offline 		i wish we didnt do this so much - so we've got a handle on things, kudos to us - let others find their way like we did already.  when did we appoint ourselves the judge and jury over how people articulate themselves.

takingu - its true there is no point at all in treating something or someone worth having badly.  and in a way i understand what youre saying in that a sub can only achieve success in their relationship to their Master if the Master takes the time and trouble to carefully show/direct and lead the sub specifically towards the things that he wishes and how he wishes them - rather than just leaving her to second guess the whole time and then treat her badly when her second guess isnt the right guess.

be wary of making blanket statements around here though - theyre all a bit seasoned in these parts and have kinda already sussed it)))

You must be related to my family - masters of the understatement, all of them!

OP, general declarations aren't really well received in general. Usually you do better to say something relating to you, or something you think, then asking for feedback or other personal insights.

PS, i am not unsucessful or nor am i a failure. I function quite well by myself, abet, not as happy as i am when owned.

Seriously both submissive and Dominant (or otherwise) has choices in regards to how to treat one another. Care and Admiration happen on both sides of the coin. Neglect can happen on either side of the coin as well. A relationship can diminish as the result of either side (or both even). There are perfectly good people that neglect to change the oil in the cars and yeah.. even at times their homes are in a state of disrepair. The world surrounds us people with responsibilities. Anybody regardless of their orientation is perfectly able of success or failure on thier own. People are responsible for their own failures and success.

Lally,
Valid point.  But as a sub, i know that it bothers me a bit when i hear people make statements like that about subs.

The OP is not the first to express views like that about subs, nor will he be the last.  Perhaps he chose his words poorly, and his statement didn't really reflect how he views sub women.    But i have met plenty of "Doms" who DO think that way.  They truly do have no confidence in the competence of their sub. 

i always wonder what type of Dom/Domme would want a sub like that?  It just seems like it would be too much work.  But to each his own, i guess.

Admiration and accolades are not necessary from the Master, but care certainly is.

Further, the slave does have a great part to play in her own obedience and constancy; those who believe otherwise are setting themselves up for some amusing theater at their own expense. Remember to bring popcorn.

There is nothing more lovely than an emotionally healthy submissive girl... My point is why would someone choose to tear her down?

With regard to accepting responsibility for her... I see many here apparently believe that she is independent. Are you afraid of that responsibility?

This is My first post on any online forum... Interesting the difference in what you online folks think is real and what I practice in life.

Second, to assume that no one here has a life as "real" as yours is also in error.

You have no idea of what we think is real. 

The key (to me) is that you demonstrated poor social skills.  You entered a room full of strangers and made a proclamation.  You didn't introduce yourself.  You didn't say "hello".  You didn't ask a question.  You didn't try to engage us in dialogue.  Instead, you gave a monologue.

Would you walk into a bar and do this?  Would you enter a munch and announce your presence by making the same proclamation that you did above?  See what i mean?  Odd way to enter a room, but hey, whatever makes you happy. 

Next time, try introducing a question.  Or make a statement and then ask if people agree or disagree and why.  That way, it comes off as more of a conversation starter, rather than as "the Great Oz has spoken!"
