JDean, there was a thread not too long back specifically on the subject of arrogance.  More specifically how arrogance is often in the eye of the beholder.  That the difference between arrogance and confidence really hinges on how it is perceived by an outside party.  Same scenario regarding a subject, but viewed entirely different because of the perspective and influences of the receiver.  It's a very good thread that you may be interested in reading from the archives of the general board.

If a person can look past their own personal prejudices, the whole question really boils down to can a person do what they say they can do.  Their attitude about it really isn't a consideration.  I'm absolutely willing to wager that there are females on this site that have found there are those who are gullable and/or desperate enough to send them money just for the opportunity to have conversations.  They wouldn't be here if it never worked.  Like all things in nature, if there was no prey, there would be no predators.  There absolutely are males out there who, rather than improve themselves to be suitable D/s and/or relationship material, it's easier to crack open their wallet.  Those who take advantage of that are just seizing the opportunity.

Make that 'one'.  Only one has been tougher, underneath the shell, than I first thought.  'Colder' is a better word, though.  The rest just have shells that vary in their effectiveness at protecting the core.  In a lot of cases that isn't very effective at all.

I don't have cold women in my life, just as I don't have cold men.  Once recognised, I don't have anything more to do with them.

Tribute? Most want cash tributes and you say you give it to them? Damn I've been missing out. I just stick a man in a dress and give him a list of chores and errands to do. I've never thought about asking for cash.

Someone up there in a post above said asking for cash means the domme is a prostitute. I don't think this is true if no sex is involved. If exchanging cash for domination is considered prostitution then exchanging cash for plumbing repairs or for cable television is also prostitution. Of course the way comcast continually tries to fuck me over I guess you might call them prostitutes

What does one's job (in whichmen and women are doing the exact same work) have to do with a relationship with two people who are trying to join their personal lives together?

Actually I see his point, I am women Hear me Roar only matters when it's not applied to who is paying the check.

I like Independent women, I really do, it does bug me that they have a double standard when it comes to being independent in a relationship.

I cannot believe many women have spoke about how independent they need to be and yet are completely okay with having a me pay for things. Especially expensive things.

Likewise I cannot believe how many men have a strange double standard also. They think my job (which I work in a male dominated profession btw) should either pay me less OR when they ask me out on dates, we should go dutch. I'm still trying to figure out what one has to do with the other.

And if you don't want to buy the woman anything, don't do it. See? That makes it equal.

BTW- equal pay for equal work has nothing to do with being independent. ITS JUST FAIR. No one expects me to get paid less just because I'm black. And no one questions my personal relationships because as a black I get equal pay.
