You can always find yourself a Dominant Women that does not identify with the BDSM lifestye itself. Find yourself a women that will Put you back in your place, call you on your own bullshit, not cater to your bad habits. You know somebody you actually respect enough to Listen to and follow (regardless of your own internal logic feedback loops)

And yeah, the scene here in utah is actually amazingly large.  Alas, nothing quite fitting what I'm looking for.  Then again, I can be such a picky bastard that it's sickening.

That's good to know! When I was there about 10 or 12 years ago.. it didn't seem that large. :)

Actually, I live less than 400 miles from SN so if he's willing to travel just a bit, I'm sure he can find some folks who would be happy to show him the ropes.. so to speak.

Now I think the following:

- no matter what level of wisdom, intelligence, education, decision-making abilities, courage and leadership skills the Domme possesses, M/s and TPE is probably not for me.
- in other types of D/s relationship I could thrive and while they are very important, IQ and wisdom are not the most important traits the Domme should have
- the most important traits of a Domme for me are: emotional intelligence (more important than IQ), decision-making abilities and leadership skills, and the most important thing - having ethical values compatible to mine and sticking to them.
- if I eventually end up in TPE (but I said, this is probably not for me) I would expect the Domme to have better  leadership skills and decision making abilities than mine and to have compatible ethics to mine and to adhere to it. - I would not have any other specific requirements - however, high education, emotional intelligence, general IQ, wisdom, sense of humor, playfulness, and many other things are, of course, desirable, and yes if she doesn't possess at least similar levels (a little lower or little higher) of these things to me - she is probably not for me.

Status: offline 		For what it's worth, all the IQ in the world is moot if the person is unable to look at the big picture of things realistically. The concept of wisdom is a bit on par with common sense in my opinion.

No matter how high you place something or somebody on a "pedestal", sooner or later it or they will fall.

In regards to "better leadership" skills and such, it's wise to not be picking apart every single thing another person does. Because if you are looking to find faults and flaws you will. Word of warning, people will fail perfection. You will fail to achieve the perfection you even wish to obtain and so will other people.

Again, you need to consider a few things, knowing that you yourself indulge in the over analytics of things at times, that you will see flaws and faults with so many things.

In many regards, there is a certain state of "Freedom" that you yourself can experience should you find a path. There's a certain freedom in being able to simply enjoy and accept things, verses the imprisonment of analytical thought. Both hold equal value to the human experience. I am not advocating turning your back on analytical thought altogether. I am expressing that you attempt to indulge in the "freedom" of simplicity of moments and certain things.

It can be extremely easy to look down upon somebody who you feel lacks the motivation to push themselves in the same areas of life as you do. Just as you yourself have flaws and faults, so do other people.

In the Quest for knowledge and understanding, make certain it does not turn into a war campaign looking for flaws and faults. The kind of stuff that feeds fears and yields disappointments.

Status: offline 		I tend to agree with grlee here.  Maybe to an even higher degree.  I've tried random sex before and it just plain didn't work.  I've always had to be able to connect with a person on an intellectual and emotional level first.  Without that, combined with physical attraction, as Elvis said, "Ain't nothin' shakin' but the leaves on the trees.".
