This is not quackery.  There is absolutely science to dominance.  You can watch it in lions and gorillas.  We are not that different from them.

I didn't suggest mind control was quackery at all. If you read my original response before being dismissive I clearly articulated it was something I enjoy and participate in. Nor do I perceive this as dark either. It's just another way to relate. Your shtick.

But my version of how all this works is the closest version to the predators' that anyone will ever admit to.  I am a pathological manipulator, but I have strong morals and empathy, and I'll tell you to your face exactly who and what I am.  I will even stop and go back and review a manipulation with the sub to show them exactly how I got them where I did.  No tricks up my sleeve, they are all right here on the table.

Look, I'm going to be honest with you. I actually like that stuff. I like having my head messed with and that's just the tip of the iceberg. What you're talking about doesn't scare me at all. It's precisely what I want. Finding someone that's capable is another thing. But to be honest, mind fuck, mind control, and brainwashing have similarities and differences. I like all three. I want that person to own my air space.

What you misunderstood is that your effectiveness is hugely related to the mental strength of the victim. If you're dismissing that fact of the equation I'm going to question your authenticity. There are some nuts you can't crack.

Listen, Doll, I understand where you're coming from, but fuck you're stupid.

And once again, I'm quite sure you can stop reminding everyone that you are the Master of Darkness, and that any mention of your Powers of Evil Domination will make us all into Big Meanies, because of course only you are the Only Responsible Person Ever.

Greetings all....

Thank you for posting that. It's always astonished me how people who have never experienced something will so voiciferously deny that it can possibly exist without ever checking the actual facts of the matter. Even people who know damn well that something exists will sometimes perversely deny its existence if they don't like the person who says it exists. I guess that's just all part of our lovely human nature.

I LOVE YOU TOO! I have a PayPal account. I'll send you the details. Condoms are really expensive here, like $2.50 each. I will require at least 15.

To make his horsey go faster? Because that is the only context in which I have used them, and I cannot imagine what else they would be used for.

Lockit -> RE: The dangers of mind control. (6/12/2010 7:10:45 PM)

There are forms of mind control/mental suggestion that are legitimate, but not in a simple conversation like magic and personal power so strong it overwhelms even the weakest mind within moments. Especially in one who cannot communicate even in the written form and express what he means. Those who do have charisma and such typically don't need to advertise it, rarely speak of it and are not afraid of their special powers. They can show charisma in person, on paper and with a keyboard and monitor. What this guy is talking about is different than subliminal advertising and mental/emotional conditioning.

Jeffff -> RE: The dangers of mind control. (6/12/2010 7:14:23 PM)

Lockit, having you on my resume as one I have mentored REALLY looks good.

I am so proud!

Someone who can spell "shtick" is a rare person, indeed. I mean that seriously. I googled it early this morning, as I wanted to use it in something but when I saw the weird way it was spelled, I think I decided to rewrite the sentence instead. It's a hard word to get your mind around and the way it was spelled annoyed me for some reason! :p But it's actually spelled just like it is spoken--like stick with an h stuck in the middle of it.

Adding to what you said about mental strength, there is at least one form of mental strength that makes a person a good target for mind control rather than a tough nut. I hear it's rather hard to hypnotize somebody who lacks the ability to concentrate for decent periods of time. And people who have that ability to focus on something exclusively along with a good memory tend to be what the rest of us call... smart.
