If you are confident in yourself and in your dominance, you'd have to work jolly hard to be thought a submissive. As a Dominant you do things because you can, because you choose to or even because your partner needs a hand to do something and you like to do things for him or her. If anyone then tries to label you a submissive, tell them to shove their head up a cow's cunt and to have the cow fucked by a woolly bull.

But even still, regarless of how you feel, others feel differently. I understand that you don't care about their viewpoint, and neither do I personally. But it's still useful to think about how others view your actions, be it to give yourself an opposing viewpoint to broaden your own, allowing you to form contrary arguments, or in the rare case, to show you some error in your line of thought that needs correcting in order to further bolster your opinion.

It seems like either I'm explaining poorly or you are missing key parts of my argument. Regardless of how others see your act, your perception still overrides.

Like I said earlier "it boils down to there only being a dominant or submissive act in the context of the people involved and their viewpoints."

Look at my avatar. Do you really think I fucking care what others think?

I do what I want to do because I can. I do what I want to do because that is who I am.

Folks can go home and and think what they want about me.

If they don't like it, they are cordially invited to go fuck themselves.

I love you, anteaterman.

Well the fact you are from Chicago clearly overrides that avatar. Just count your lucky stars. [:D]

How others feel is completely inconsequential.  You are trying to give credence to people outside of the dynamic when what they think doesn't mean squat.  My dominance isn't up for review and nobody outside of My household gets to put a grade on it.

I imagine even INSIDE your household, grades are weighted differently..:)

Stop picking and choosing what you want to read. You highlight "what others think" and complain that what they think doesn't matter, yet you seem to ignore the rest of the sentence that states that their opinion doesn't matter.
Why are you trying to disagree with me while at the same time only reinforcing my argument?

Because I happen to think that anybody calling themselves a Dominant shouldn't even have it enter their mind to have a concern about what others think.

ETA - This might help to clarify My position http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=2909879&key=why+do+you+care

If I were to take your point of view, why should I care what you think a dominant should or should not think?

marie2 -> RE: Dominant submisive acts? (6/18/2010 1:25:13 PM)

Who's on first?

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Dominant submisive acts? (6/18/2010 1:25:39 PM)

It's part of why wearing a tiara into a dungeon can be nice- if you're new they assume you're a creampuff. Then you pull out the whip and start in some heavy humiliation and for some reason you get a completely different response. I agree perceptions can be fun to play with, but we should never suggest that our motivations and intentions can be applied to others and their symbols.

Jesus bloody hell child, fucking grow up and listen to people like LP who has more nous, experience and creditability than you are likely to gain over the next 50 years especially when she is trying to help you. STOP acting like a petulant child and ACT LIKE A DOMINANT

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Dominant submisive acts? (6/18/2010 1:30:08 PM)

YAY someone else wears tiaras!

And, what Iron Bear said. Sheesh!

marie2 -> RE: Dominant submisive acts? (6/18/2010 1:34:50 PM)

Jefff wears a tiara that matches his mandals, and he doesn't care who thinks he's a princess!

...Are they submissive acts?...

this slave is only aware of one (1) submissive act...submitting.

how, when, why, where, what and with who are merely details that vary from person to person.

NewDomCouple87 -> RE: Dominant submisive acts? (6/18/2010 1:40:21 PM)

I'm the petulant child? I'm merely attempting to have a debate over a philosophical concept. I am not the one getting angry and spouting obsceneties at someone simply because their viewpoints are different.

And act like a dominant? So I should kowtow to someone and accept their viewpoint without thought or deliberation? Is that what makes a dominant?
