Status: offline 		Lets hope Congress keeps this guy under control. This guy actually wants to declare American citizens the enemy, and surrender to radical Islam. There is no doubt that we will be withdrawing from Iraq, which in itself may have disastrous consequences, but now he has announced plans that he intends to withdraw from Afghanistan by a certain date which is telling the Taliban, that all they have to do is wait, and we will be gone. This guy should be impeached for Treason for aiding and abetting the enemy. He also divulged state secrets to the Russians and gave them classified information as to how many nukes we had and where they were located.

People, you don't seem to understand something here. Terrorism is like a cancer, you have to hunt it down and kill it. It's not going to go away on its on. If other countries refuse or unable to reign in their terrorists, then we have no choice but to do it for them. Otherwise they just grow and get stronger. Look at Hamas. They are a terrorist organization masquerading as a legitimate government now. This war on terrorism is never going to end. It's just like the drug war. All you can do is keep it under control. To those of you who think the drug war is a lost cause, just imagine how stupid future generations of voters would be if drugs were legalized. Todays voters already accept daily infringements on the Constitution including free speech, gun rights, states rights, unconstitutional monitoring by the Patriot Act and eminent domain for commercial development just to name a few, 30% in taxes not to even mention hidden taxes on everything else, Property taxes that go up each year whether they protest them or not, and now being forced to buy health care whether they want it or not, while eventually 25% of the population will get it totally free. I think today's voters are dumb enough without legalizing drugs. In fact, there has been a study done that pollution in cities is actually lowering the IQ of our citizens. We don't need to make it worse.

Here's the Intro to new bill Obama wants passed, which far exceeds the Patriot act, and actually declares people who oppose his government the enemy.

Foreign Ministry reports circulating in the Kremlin today are warning that an already explosive situation in the United States is about to get a whole lot worse as a new law put forth by President Obama is said capable of seeing up to 500,000 American citizens jailed for the crime of opposing their government.
Sparking the concern of Russian diplomats over the growing totalitarian bent of the Obama government is the planned reintroduction of what these reports call one of the most draconian laws ever introduced in a free society that is titled “The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act”.

Status: offline 		A couple of things to notice.  First, Terrorism as Cancer is a nice metaphor.  Why?  Well, cancer is treated with chemotherapy, which has really really awful side effects, and in many cases it is the chemo, and not the cancer which kills the patient.  Also, cancer is parts of the body turning on itself, not an outside invader like bacteria and viruses.  We created the terrorists that we are now after.

Also, all of those outrages that Americans happily submit to, I doubt we'd be submitting to them if we didn't have a longstanding practice of submitting to unreasonable search and seizure in the interests of the drug war.  The drug war was excellent preparation for dictatorship.

As for the other, didn't the war on terror partly arise because the war on drugs that had served Reagan so well was starting to become untenable? That unscheduled demolition in 2001 gave Bush a whole new bogeyman to justify whatever unconstitutional nonsense he wanted to pursue, and he was man enough to seize the opportunity.

Status: offline 		I do believe that it is alright for the right wingnuts to totally ignore the various unconstitutional acts of President Bush (it must be, they do it all the time) and focus on bullshit sources in Russia who have been proved wrong so often that it is not even funny, since they have nothing concrete on which to attack Obama.

They, cucky, pahunk, and others need something to base their bullshit regurgitation on, considering they swallow so much of it.  One day, if there is a god, they will either somehow increase their iq above the single digit level, or forget how to use a keyboard.

Personally, I firmly believe that people like pahunkboy and Cuckoldmepls are the people who the chainsaw warning note "Do not attempt to stop blade with hands." was written for.  For they seem dumb enough to do just that.
