Jesus is just alright with me

MissAsylum -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/9/2010 6:13:42 AM)

ETA: just because i haven't had my coffee from Starbucks yet is no reason to be rude.

MissAsylum -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/9/2010 6:43:21 AM)

i wasn't sure if you were joking or not. i didn't want to be rude if you were being serious. nobody seemed to get my "black religious figurehead" joke in reference to domi. ETA: i believe his race was attempted to be hashed out in the poli/relig forum. didn't even bother reading that one.

I've said this on one of your threads before.  It seems that you and the people you associate with can manage to find more "crazy" connected with kink than I have in all of My time in the lifestyle.

If you are a pro domme, I'm sure you see all kinds of things walk through the door. (1) Clients who can't find a lifestyle partner; (2) Marrieds who are not getting it at home; (3) Folks with limited people skills; and (4) All the kinks that need $$ to find a partner.

Pro's also deal in higher volume. Think of the Domme's doing internet training, phone sex, and all that -- that's even higher volume.

On the other hand, the Pyscho Dom is the scariest thing in all of BDSM. I know that I would run fast from anyone with such extreme fantasies.

How could anyone possibly be RIGHT about what Jesus' race is?

Can you not see that a) that's ridiculous and b) it's a joke....

I would be genuinely surprised if Yeshuah of Nazareth's heritage was not Semitic.

Back in Jesus's day people weren't classified by the color of their skin into different "races"... that concept is entirely a product of colonialism....

The whole entire thing is ridiculous... Jesus may have been a black Jew, he may have been a white one... who knows!

I think it is odd to call a dark skinned Jesus "sketchy"

Edited to add WWJD....[:D].... I doubt highly if it was something he spent a good deal thinking about

MissAsylum -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/9/2010 8:21:24 AM)

it was a joke all relating to domi. nothing more.

Well I don't know what shade his skin tone was, but I assumed when MA said "black" she meant "of sub-Saharan African heritage" and not "with x% of melanin pigmentation."

MsMillgrove -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/9/2010 6:24:22 PM)

I wish I hadn't read this thread, cause now i am faced with the question: "fuck Jesus.. yes or no?". Based on how he acted in the Martha-Mary story.. which used to infuritate my mom as she was the Martha type who'd be out in the kitchen cooking up a storm.. and it really made her mad that Jesus thought that Mary's fawning over his feet was preferable to Martha's hard work.. well I am gonna say: Pass on Jesus.

However if he showed up with his mother.. I'd definately fuck Mary.

MsMillgrove -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/9/2010 6:27:39 PM)

omg a great typo "infuritate". I gotta write that down.. that's super: half way between irritating and infuriating! xlnt.

On the topic: peole who are kinky are kinky.. some are crazier than others...the chances of running into a true violently dangerous...and/or cannibalistic person are about the same as in the regular population: relatively rare.

i cant totally speak for LadyH, but i doubt it.

Do you have any idea where she was going with that? It seems to me like she was defending one sort of bat shit crazy with another....I must be missing something.

I read it as 'we consider contact from those people an inevitability, why get so freaked out about this when we're resigned to those guys who are just as bad?'

I may be wrong, but that was my impression.

edited for clarity

Mental illness exists equally in the vanilla and kink worlds. When it's in the latter, it may become intertwined or perhaps just confused with "kinks."

I do share your opinion that you should never mess with human life (as does the law).

kitastrophe33 -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/11/2010 11:36:58 AM)

Yep. An equal opportunity kind of thing. It just makes more titillating news content when it involves kink. Not to derail, but "paraphilias" are set to be removed in the next edition of the DSM (the bible of psychiatric disorders and diagnosis). The paraphilias have largely been disregarded as legitimate diagnoses for years, but it's nice that they're finally taking it out.

If I assume the OP's scenario is actually legit (not fabricated or exaggerated by anyone in the chain of this story) than that dude's just nuts. Whatever sexual kink he may have is overshadowed by the fact that is crazy. With a capital C.

Does it? I'm not a big fan of unsubstantiated assertions.

We do? [&:] Personally I'd be pretty freaked out if I ran into either of those. I'm sorry that you two have had to deal with such things.

MistressRoux -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/12/2010 4:16:19 AM)

Clearer statement: mental illness is pandemic and doesn't discriminate much based on lifestyle choices, gender, race, sexual orientation, age, etc.

We do. Or at least I do. Not a regular thing, not a frequent thing, but an occasional inevitability. You get freaked out at first, but eventually you realise these people are writing to nothing more than a name on a screen; they don't know who or where you are, and they can't get to you without your permission.

I try (as far as possible-nobody's perfect) to save freak-outs for things that could actually hurt me.

LadyPact -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/12/2010 6:43:53 AM)

I have to agree with VC here.  It is very much My opinion that anyone is going to find a heck of a lot more "crazy" through the internet than they are through regular attendance at lifestyle events.  Even signing up for this site, being mentally stable isn't a requirement.  It's not like out in the real world where, if you're a nutjob, nobody invites you to their home for a private party.  Here, there's no screening of that type.  As long as you have an internet connection, you're good to go.

Mix that with people who have bad screening methods, "crazy" then goes to the face to face variety.
