It's just like the government told Bobby Jindal, "Don't build your sand berms, we're worried about where you're going to get the sand."  This is highly suspicious.  And the media, they're perplexed, too. They don't really know who is responsible for the delay.  Why don't you just go straight to the horse's mouth and ask Obama?  'Cause it's his decision.  Obama says he's the man in charge here.  Go ask him.  This is another version of the story, two different AP writers on the same story: "The plan to start choking off oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico was suddenly halted as government officials and BP said further analysis must be done today before critical tests could proceed."  No explanation was given for the decision.  No date was set for when testing would begin on the new tighter fitting cap that BP installed on Monday.  In the meantime, oil continued spewing into the Gulf.  Just what they want.  I guess the answer might have something to do with cap and trade.  How can Obama and Thad Allen allow BP to stop the leak before Harry Reid brings cap and trade to the floor of the Senate for debate and passage?  What would Rahm Emanuel say?  "You are wasting a good crisis here.  We're not going to fix this leak.  If we fix this leak, we don't have a chance of getting cap and trade passed."

mnottertail -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 10:51:54 AM)

ludicrously imbicilic, even for limbaugh

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 10:55:40 AM)

The quoted part is certainly not imbecilic, its fact. What do you object to in the rest of it?

mnottertail -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 11:25:07 AM)

factless throughout. and imbicilic throughout.

here bring me  the tape recording of this where these guys are saying this.

Knowing your penchant for prounouncements that are patently false and without foundation, I have no concern that you can actually cite something.

Never stops amazing me, the level of understanding, Mr. Limbaugh displays of reality. But then, he is a pretty selfish man. And selfish men typically believe everyone else, is just as selfish as themselves. Thank you Sanity, for posting one more bit of evidence, that displays this as truth. Yes, if Mr. Obama were a selfish man, like Mr. Limbaugh, yes, he would do exactly as Mr. Limbaugh says. However, Mr. Obama is not doing this. Since he is not a selfish man. He is proceeding on a tight schedule to bring the problem to a close. It would be easily understood, that trained professionals give him an idea on the process and time tables. Most intelligent and educated people, understand that with technology, there is a process that has to be followed for positive results. Mr. Limbaugh's lack of knowledge of this process does his listeners a disservice. Since, it could be fairly wager, his average listern knows less about this process (a process easily found on the net...), then he does! What does that tell you, of the average listern of Mr. Limbaugh's show?

The issue in the Gulf of Mexico, has nothing to do with cap & trade. To an educated person, one could see some similarities between the two, but that is were it ends. To the uneducated, it is hellishly easy to give misinformation and complete lies. Those that do this, know, the uneducated will not bother to check the information for accuracy. We Americans have seen this before, during the Obama Administration. We saw the amount of misinformation gushing out of conservitives like Sarah Palin and others over Health Care Reform Act. Again, with financial reform (currently going through Congress). It seems to me, that many conservatives, accept whole sections of words, without an ounce of fact checking. In fact, for a conservative to speak or write something indepth on a given subject (like health care, financial reform, cap & trade, etc), would be unheard of in modern America! Even on these forums, it is typical, that conservatives are incapabible of writing intelligent and wise replies longer then three sentences.

Finally, Mr. Limbaugh is welcome to his point of view, and allowed to speak on the airwaves. But he is not a credible source of knowledge or information, and wise persons know that already.

What in the quote is factless?

flcouple2009 -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 12:14:46 PM)

The entire quote.

Try for a start that is has been reported that was a delay in closing the valves because of a couple of parts needed replaced.

I know it's hard for the inhabitants of Fantasy Island to come to grip with the facts.

Casie -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 12:19:05 PM)

limbaugh is an idiot. But the past has shown us our politicians let now crisis go to waste. They use crisis to pass more laws, and put more money in the hands of their departments. The damage is done no one has to tell them not to plug the whole. BP don't know wtf their doing all on their own.

mnottertail -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 1:32:08 PM)

so, thanks to limbaugh (exposing the plot and whatnot) the valves are turned off?  is that the spin?

LOLOL, I love neo-con masturbation.

Seems to me the news is reporting the cap is on and working.

Huh...check it out.

mnottertail -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 1:36:36 PM)

well, limbaugh and his kowtowers entertained us with his imbicilic schtick for an hour this afternoon anyhow.

At the risk of sounding partisan, isn't that more of a Republican thing? Carter had wall to wall crises for his four years in office and failed to exploit any of them for political ends, if memory serves.

BoiJen -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 1:39:59 PM)

No...now the lie I'm waiting to hear is from BP about how much oil they're sucking up.

boi

mnottertail -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 1:40:01 PM)

well, in any case, lets hope the wellhead doesn't blow out or the  pressure build and seep all over fuck before they get that cement down there.

vincentML -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 1:40:13 PM)

Quick, someone, tell Rush... so he can proclaim this new development a socialist fraud:

NEW ORLEANS - A tightly fitted cap was successfully keeping oil from gushing into the Gulf of Mexico for the first time in three months, BP said Thursday. The victory -- long awaited by weary residents along the coast -- is the most significant milestone yet in BP's effort to control one of the worst environmental disasters in U.S. history.

ETA boiJen beat me to it [:D]

mnottertail -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 1:42:01 PM)

Dammit!!!!!! BP has ignored the socialist regime and plugged the hole.  Wonder how Obama is gonna spin this affront to his kenyan roots?

I just wanna read the follow up from Limb-crazy about this.

mnottertail -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 1:45:24 PM)

But watch though, this fucker is gonna go tits up, just like all the cackling about the pirates and when the deed got done.......

Ah, but they will howl and gnash their teeth about some other manufactured controversy tomorrow, and they wonder why thinking folks require proof and don't listen to these clowns, remember how they were all hepped up about the slaughter in MA by the republicans, how Scott Brown might be their great black hope?  Looks to me like the republicans voted in another democrat over there...

They are always getting fooled, there are no real republicans out there.

Lucylastic -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 1:47:15 PM)

Rush will say its because he brought it to the attention of his listeners

BoiJen -> RE: Regime to BP: Don't Plug the Hole (7/15/2010 1:47:51 PM)

Charlie Crist makes me happy.
