I often walk away from threads that become flamefests and if people don't get my point the first time I don't repeat it endlessly anymore to think they will get it for me saying it over and over again... Agreed, Obama is no big savior. But I don't believe polls, ever. They are consistantly wrong. By example, throw up either hipshooter or faceshooter, and they got no shot at election, polling and reality very rarely mix.

Polls and statistics are very manipulable. A good statistician can make the numbers say anything that they want too. So legend says, anyway. Where does the statment "Whites, Independents deserting Obama" stem from, who coined it? I'd like to point out that he can't be deserted by people who didn't like or want him in office to begin with. I would also like to point out I am not surprised he doesn't have his own party and the swing voters from the other party deserting him as much or more. After all he did lie to them. to us all Who is anyone on this board to judge whether or not we are democrat, republican, or independant? Some Independants are such not because we won't vote for either republicans or democrats but because we don't want to be affiliated with one or another party. We want the freedom to choose the best candidate of all of them. Being independendant doesn't automatically mean you support the third to fifth parties.
