I am all for people legally entering the US to make a living AND to become citizens if they wish. But I am not for people to illegally enter this country with no intent on becoming citizens and taking advantage of our welfare system.
The data to date, seems to indicate, what I posted originally. If the facts, said however, that illegal immigrants are costing the state/federal system more money then they take in, I could agree (begrudgingly). It seems most of those who entered the country illegally had a DAMN good reason for doing so. Yes, a small percentage enter, whom are criminals, or planning on crime in the USA. I'm fine with prosecuting them.
But others, who have been in the country over three or four years, raising a family, have not been in trouble with the law since, and pay bills. Does that sound like the sort of person to deport? There should be a mechanism, to allow these people to become US Citizens. AFTER, they pay a reasonable fine of like $5-10K, and go through the steps like legal immigrants. Unfortunately, as any sane person, witness during the Health Care debate, the conservatives will try ANY method to distort and lie about the facts. Are you for US citizens to be in this country, with no intent on doing anything, and taking advantage of our welfare system? Last I checked, most illegal immigrants work REALLY hard, in deporable conditions, for very little wages, and sometimes at great risk of life and limb. Why dont you, mari49x, put your money where your mouth is, step up to the plate, and do the SAME work, they endure, day after day for the next decade. If you quit on any one date, you lose your arguement. If you can last the full ten years, and show with hard evidence....then you made your point.

Let's put Sarah Palin up against Barrack Obama on a discussion of Constitutional Law. How badly would Mr. Obama, who is a Constitutional Lawyer, do against, Sarah Palin, that apparently doesnt know much about the laws of the state/federal system?
Likewise, Democrats couldnt do this, even if they wanted to; its against the Constitution!
Nor have Democrats ever been in favor, of someone not working. However, unlike conservative Republicans, liberal Democrats seem to think on things. Some people, really have, legitimate reasons why they can not do certain types of jobs. Some just dont have the training, skills, or lisences for occupations beyond physical labor. Maybe, you have been living under a rock on the planet Mars for the past few years; here in the USA, the unemployment rate right now, is rather high.

Well....You have the Burden of Evidence to come up with to make your arguement valid. Really? Alot of the suspected population of illegal immigrants, are actually citizens of Mexico? Again, you have the burdern of evidence to present; As the real facts are much different. Do you mary49x, REALLY, have a problem with what someone else does with their money? If so, you would have a problem with how US citizens, handle their money. Which in turn, would mean, you, yourself would have to have, the objectively perfect financial statement. Are you REALLY making more then 38% return on your investment portfolio? No debt beyond that, easily paid off? And saving over 14% of your income (and hence, not included in your original investment portfoloio)? A credit rating of 850? In other words, living well below your means, successfully? I seriously doubt it.
Besides, have you ever given money to love ones, or charity? If you say 'yes', your a HYPOCRIT!

If that was true, the guy in the White House right now, would be Presdient John McCain. Congress, would be held (House & Senate) under Republican control. Last I checked, neither of those are accurate, fortunately for America. And the reason is quite simple. The Republican party does not use common sense, but fear, intolerance, ignorance, and hatred. They're philosophies have been debunked by time, economics, and reality. They have ignored facts in favor of fantasy. They have generated complete lies in the face of total truth. They believe its 'wrong' for a president to lie about adultry, but 'right' to lie about going to war. The Republicans, frankly, have ALOT to owe up to, and take responsiblity. Unfortunately for them, being irresponsible, seems to be a hallmark of their party. Need some evidence?

I want you, Mary, to put the best positive spin (i.e. try to lie), that Republicans, since Ronald Reagan took office, have common sense.
The panic on the left is getting more intense by the day....lol. This is fun to watch :) We are what?...under 100 days till Obama becomes a lame duck?
I notice Michelle is vacationing in Spain ....of course...she can't show support for the people in the Gulf by vacationing there....typical leftist crap...do as I say....not as I do. But quoting of all people....Al Franken????...lololol. You couldn't make this stuff up.
