He wasnt preaching sacrifice, he was preaching common sense. 72 degrees has been the government norm for many years. SUV's ARE gas hogs... Gas at the time of that comment made by Obama was 3.80 a gallon. The speech was also given about global warming and lets face it, europeans are far more advanced in energy conservation than we are. Bottom line.... Michelle took her daughter on vacation. She also took some friends and their daughters along. Big whoop. HAD they stayed home, they would not have added one more person to the employment rolls. HAD they stayed home, they would not have added one more dollar to the national coffers. And i see you dodged the African Safari comment... totally expected. Oh, and btw... Obama wasnt President at the time of that speech.

Point remains, we cant eat as much as we want or drive an SUV but the Obamas can fly in dedicated 747s to Hawaii or Europe every other month, stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Spain for half a million dollars, and so on. He's a hypocrite! May as well admit it.

Nope, i dont see them as hypocrits when they pay their own costs of the trips. They are well off in their own rights. You dont have to like them. And again, you avoid the safari.

lol.. what safari. Here you are criticizing a presidency about vacations and you dont even know the topic you are criticizing. And i dont see it as preaching about "sacrifice". Guess for someone like you, giving up an SUV to drive a more sensible car is a HUGE sacrifice. Turning the thermostats to 73 degrees must be so taxing for you. First Ladies and their children are NOT elected officials. This story started out with 40 friends.... turns out the total on the trip was 7. I can see how 40 would incite some anger... 7 not so much. This story also started out with Michelle choosing one of the most expensive hotels. Turns out, she didnt chose it, the Secret Service did. Again, inciting anger at someone who didnt do the deed. You dont consider these lies?
