I am quite up to speed.

Bush didnt tell anyone what to do ( and i do mean that literally, he just didnt give a fuck. he did what he wanted without asking or telling anyone anything).

Obama told the US to tighten up their belts during a poli9tical stomp through the US while running for President.

Bush got us through two recessions by paying his way out of them.'

Obama got handed the fall out of the ultimate failure of those efforts.

Laura Bush, as FL, went on an african safari and because it was an official trip, the US public picked up the total tab.

Michelle Obama went on a trip to Spain. As more information is coming out, no one traveled with the FL beyond her daughter. A total of 7 people went who all paid for their own trips, hotel rooms and food.

As far as i can see... the only difference between the two that truly matters is that Obama had the audacity to inform a country to tighten their belts in the midst of a recession during a political campaign.

Now that all this is cleared up....

How about bringing something to the boards that really matters. [8|]

No taz, no sane president would tell the people to quit spending in a recession because that would just makes things worse, which is why they try tax cuts and other "stimulus" to try to get people to spend.

This thread has nothing to do with George Bushs tax cuts or Laura Bushs trip to Africa  or Barack Obamas porkulus spending. Honestly, you dont understand the premise here.

Why wouldn't a sane president tell everyone who is tapped out to quit spending and going into personal debt that it is unsustainable?  Why do I owe some peddler the contents of my wallet to keep him going to my detriment?

The big O is preaching sacrifice to soothe his angry Earth god, lest we suffer the eternal hell and fiery damnation of global warming.
