Heh.  That's academics for you.  A couple of decades ago, a lot of the polytechnics (newer higher education colleges) here in the UK became universities.  Newcastle Polytechnic wanted to change its name to Central University of Newcastle on Tyne.  Legend has it that it got all the way to the printers before someone realised what the initials added up to.  Wouldn't look seemly on a tee shirt, they concluded.

Methane is an odorless gas.  What you smell is actually partially-digested food particles, bacteria and feces.  Also, there's no sulfur in human farts.

Actually, beer farts and boiled egg farts have significant quantities of Hydrogen Sulfide. You can cut down on the amount of H2S in beer farts, though, by pouring a big head on the beer. This breaks up some of the disulfide bonds in the beer proteins and prevents H2S formation in the intestine.

I've had this done to me before, and it didn't really bother me much.  I grew up with a brother, uncles and cousins, so I'm pretty desensitized to farts though.  Also my parents would pretty much fart around each other casually with no real reaction except maybe a joke, so I guess I was never taught to feel shame about farting, except in public places.  Face farting is pretty playful form of dominance, and hey, it seems foolish to complain when there's an ass in your face.[:)]  I've even been farted on when my tounge was licking an anus, which was a little nasty, but certainly didn't stop me from doing my job properly.  My stance is why should a mistress have to put her pleasure on hold to deal with a naturally occurring and unavoidable body function when there's really little risk to the sub, who should be totally focused on her pleasure.  Not to mention, farting is generally a pleasant feeling.  The person who did this with me seemed to have a good time, and much laughter was had by all.

Better to fart and bear the shame, than not the fart and bear the pain!
