rulemylife -> RE: Beck rally (9/1/2010 12:37:29 AM)

I had to post this because it was just too funny.

I can't believe the idiocy Breitbart is stooping to.

It seems that those attending the Beck Rally have a cleanliness fetish.

We are to believe that a large group of people left the mall spotless because they are so honorable.

Then we have a bunch of dumbasses falling for this and posting comments about how liberals would have left the place a mess.

The funniest part though is halfway through the video when you see large trash bags piled on the side of the walkway, indicating cleaning crews had already been at work in the area.

THELADY -> RE: Beck rally (9/1/2010 6:04:35 AM)

Obama was asked last night if he heard the rally. He said no he did NOT listen to it, but he thought it was great that we live in a country were people could come together and have their voices HEARD.

Lucylastic -> RE: Beck rally (9/1/2010 6:14:49 AM)

what would you have liked him to say?
maybe you should offer to be his speech writer,

I had to post this because the above quoted post was just too typical.

I can believe the can't refute the message so desparage the messenger(s) tactic rulemylife stooped to.

It's obvious that liberals who didn't attend the Beck rally have a fetish to disbelieve and desparage.

Unless/until you provide substantive evidence to the contrary the large crowd at Glenn Beck's "RESTORING HONOR" rally actually did have enough respect and honor to clean up after themselves, and there are plenty of liberal mainstream-media stories/pictures/videos on the web substantiating that liberals left "The Mall" a mess after the "Million Man March", anti-war protests, and Obama's Inauguration as well as Denver's Invesco Field/Mile High Stadium after the 2008 DNC Nomination/General Election Kick Off rally...those liberal mainstream-media stories/pictures/videos speak for themselves, no conservative "dumbass" comments needed.

Halfway though the video you do indeed see large trash bags piled up beside the walkway, indicating someone(s) had already been at work in the area. However, no where in the video do you see any clean-up crew or equipment...NADA. Not only that but the video shows there were still lots of rally attendees who hadn't yet left "The Mall", and common sense says that clean-up crews wouldn't bother making the place as clean as the video shows while there were still lots of people there to potentially mess it up again. Rather, common sense says the rally attendees cleaned-up after themselves and, in fact, the video shows at least one rally attendee going out of his way to put a piece of trash in an aforementioned trash bag rather than simply drop it on the walkway or toss it on the grass.

Finally, I have lived less than 10-miles from "The Mall" for 20+ years and have attended numerous large scale events there...4th of July(s), Memorial Day(s), National Heritage/Arts & Crafts Festival(s), National WWII Memorial Dedication Ceremony, etc. Never, ever, have I seen or heard of clean-up crews cleaning "The Mall" spotless while lots of attendees were still there but, rather, only after "The Mall" was essentially vacant (overnight).

Ah yes, the mindless conservative rant...

Yes, because this hasn't been a tactic of conservatives since Mr. Obama started running for public office....

Tell me, RacerJim, how often did (and still do) conservatives attack Mr. Obama on his citizenship or religion? How often did they attack him on the facts of Health Care (i.e. Death Panels)? Yes, conservatives are quite guilty of the same tactic your accusing liberals of doing. And do you, or other conservatives own up to it? Course not, if conservatives stated they have been hypocrits for the past twenty years, the GOP would implode.

Yes, because there is no such thing as scribes to write down what was said, nor video of the speech? What millenium do you live in?

Or is it, you believe liberals are not allowed to practice their 1st Amendment rights as well?

Holy Run-On Sentences, Batman! Are you making an arguement that 87,000 people picked up after themselves? If that was even remotely true, why did the rally organization hire a clean up company to go over the grounds at the end of the day and on into the next one? Or is those 'evil liberals' who sneak in, and planted garbage to make the group look bad?

Or that the actions of one person, dictate the actions of the whole? Given human nature, its highly doubtful 87,000 people picked up even half the garbage left there afterward. Unless RacerJim, you can provide documented evidence, of every cigarette butt being picked up. After all, what percentage of that crowd are smokers? What is the common action of smokers when they are done smoking a cigarette?

Yes, blindly loyal persons often over look that, which would destroy their arguement. I've been to tons of large rallies, and the place is usually a mess. Doesnt matter if it was conservative or liberal. Didn't matter that in one case, there was a 'keep the community clean' rally by some conservatives. Human nature and observation of said nature, seems to be, that a few thousand people in one area, will generate trash. When a few, ten's of thousands are involved, the amount of trash grows at the same rate.

So if you want to make an arguement that is contrary to human behavior, well then....present your burden of evidence. I'm sure those in the mental health field would love to see your observations, data, and how you conducted your oberservations.

Ohhhhh...............so the teabaggers were so honorable that they brought 30-gallon trash bags with them, stayed after the event
and wandered around picking up things.

I love how you guys buy into Breitbart's nonsense after he has been shown to have fabricated stories numerous times.

And your claim that the cleaning crews only come out at night is ludicrous.

At every public gathering I have ever been to, from baseball and football games to political rallies or events in public parks, the cleaning crews were there cleaning what they could during the entire event, and immediately after people vacated an area the crews would start cleaning it.

But hey, if you want to believe Breitbart's bullshit then enjoy yourself.

Thats another bullshit tactic, painting "conservatives" with the brush of birthers and Islamaphobes. Stop listening to Olblowhard and Maddow, they are rotting your brain.

THELADY -> RE: Beck rally (9/1/2010 12:23:02 PM)

I have been to 4 tea party rallies. after each one there were volenteers in the crowd at the end with bags and a number of us got a bag and piched in and cleaned up.
That's not spin, that's what I did.

the point is if you love _America you take care of it.

DomYngBlk -> RE: Beck rally (9/1/2010 12:29:06 PM)

Well attacking America at every turn isnt taking care of it ....is it? All I ever hear from tea baggers is what is bad about America. What is wrong with America. Putting its leaders down. Is that taking care of America? I don't think so. America, love it or leave it!

They dont attack America, they attack the incompetent leadership that is destroying her and will take back some of it November.

DomYngBlk -> RE: Beck rally (9/1/2010 1:13:57 PM)

No, I hear it all the time about what is "wrong" with America. Wasn't the rally, in fact, an attack on what the crazy ex drug addict thinks is "wrong" with America?

No, in fact there was no attacking at all.

DomYngBlk -> RE: Beck rally (9/1/2010 1:19:22 PM)

If you desire to RESTORE something then what you are restoring must be wrong or lacking....no?

I dont see anything about "attacking" in there, and certainly not an attack on America. His main theme is to focus on the positive, not the negative.

Its not a bullshit tactic, willbeurdaddy. Its reality. As the birthers and islamaphobes, are conservatives. You cant pick and choose who is a conservative. But you can denounce the attitude.

Do you, willbeurdaddy, believe Mr. Barrack Obama, President of the United States of America is both:

A) A US Born Citizen
B) A Christian

Any of you other conservatives wish to agree to A & B?

A) Yes
B) Yes

And since one conservative agrees with both, you can just as easily say that "conservatives think he is a US citizen and a Christian" as the previous claim that conservatives dont.

It is a bullshit tactic, used mostly by liberals.
