quote:
State to state, race to race, it can and will vary quote:
ORIGINAL: Jeffff How do you reconcile that with your statement about being happy people are "taking stands" earlier in this thread. A silly pointless meaningless stand offers nothing of value. By the accounts I have read, the woman is a nutmeg. The fact that enough people voted for her to win a primary is somewhat scary. It is not, for me, uplifting. "State to state, race to race, it can and will vary" The national picture is and often is at contrast with local races. It is, or at least seems apparent that at a national level, people are taking a stand. Elections this year bear that out regardless of who actually makes it to office. The Republicans in Deleware did take a stand. They cast out what was considered an almost certain seat for their philosophy. And in doing so, apparently have given it up to Democrats. Now I don't know about you, but that is a much greater stand than saying, ok, let's vote the other guy even though we think he's a piece of shit. It's sorta like sacrificing yourself for your beliefs. You see that as silly and pointless?
