Having spent way too much time on the collarme boards, the question arises on a regular basis "Why am i being ignored?" The answer generallly has several facets.

1. Do you really expect, on line, or walking into a room that everyone will drop what they are doing and turn their rapt attention to you. Why should they. (if you really think that then you are awfully vain in the first place, don't you think?) take a humility pill.

2. Walking into a room, or displaying yourself on line, do you find everyone you see appealing? do you find them equally appealing, or do you tend to focus your attention on one or two prospects? Why do you not expect that of others?

A worthwhile sub is likely to ask:

What do you offer in general? why should that appeal to me in specific? How am i supposed to know that by your profile or your intro or both, and is all of what you claim consistent? Does what you present appeal to my tastes? as a general rule, at least 90 percent of those who observe you will find reasons not to be interested. Not because there is anything patently wrong with you, but because they don't see much hope that what you need and what they need will ever be a satisfactory match. It is a pita, but saves a lot of anguish further on.
To all, good luck in your searches and things will happen as thay should.

(Overlooking the fact that the above post is laced with rhetorical questions:)

Being "unique" is overrated. It's others' misunderstood view of someone often misunderstood.

I never get ignored in person; I have been ignored online.

What I claim is never consistent. I'm full of contradictions. I cannot even figure myself out most of the time...
I'm still "searching for" myself.

What do I offer?
The ability to be slightly to moderately entertaining. I'm also quite proficient at knowing what chemicals make pink smoke.
Not much else...

In other words, I'm good to introduce into a room when your party is failing and you need a distraction.

I'm certain that I'm going to die completely alone in a crowd of friendly faces. Or in a car accident.

I'll laugh with you to escape the brutality of my loneliness. If you choose to "care", that is.

Cheers with a quiche and double your haughtiness,
T.

TwoShoes, that was certainly a unique reply. :)

The OP was too rhetorical to really reply seriously. What makes one unique? It is one's perception of oneself and how that may differ from another's perception.

Unlike the op I don't automatically assume that when someone says they're being ignored, they mean by strangers. Because usually it's by their so-called partner. A person who claims to care for them in words but does not demonstrate that by deeds. And the answer to that is he doesn't really care or he wouldn't do this. He just wants you when he wants to get some and to hell with you the rest of the time.

im a little curious about who this is being pointed at - its not something ive come across at all but clearly its something the OP feels strongly about -

in the end there will always be people who think theyre completely and utterly spell binding and as a general rule theyre anything but, relying on whatever 'asset' they assume gives them top billing to just stand there waiting for their adoring fans to pile up around theyre feet - id avoid them if i were you.  narcisists are a major bore.

I'm not completely and utterly spellbinding? Really?

Dang!

I mean, just, DANG.

You know, the problem with being the center of your own universe is that the sun shines out of your own asshole, and that's painful!

Well..I am not a lesbian, so I am thinking I do not want to appeal to you

Here is an idea, meet people in meat life and get to know them, their friends and their family.... this will give you a much firmer place to gauge their consistency,

I am of the opinion that the dating game kinda works that way for all of us. Most people will not be interested in us, and that is okay, you only need one, right?

My take on the OP is that he's pointing out some reasons for the threads that pop up fairly often from (mostly) men on the fact that they aren't finding a partner or getting their heart's desire fulfilled. I could be wrong...

"At your service, Maam" is how I read his nic without looking at his profile.

BRB

VERY good profile.  Not at all surprised to find he is "****CURRENTLY OWNED**********" (as he writes in first line of his profile.)

So, for me, that calls the OP into question.  At first, I'd thought he was just spittin' sour grapes.

If he is really trying to help others, I'd suggest a much more constructive criticism post.

I think those are some good questions for both sides of the kneel.  Why limit them to subs?

Well, let's see, I'm unique because I'm no one but me, and there's no other *me* out there. Does that answer your question?

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I'm the only PoohBear Honeypaws around. Ya just have to ask my favorite Twinkletoes!!

My parents ran into my doppelganger when they were on a return flight from a vacation. They were both angry that I had been on holidays when they knew I couldn't afford it. She dressed as I did, moved the way I did, then she turned around and they figured out I hadn't been to any island that I couldn't afford.

Until you reached that point I thought you were addressing the submissives here. Probably wise of you not to, given the current climate. But I certainly think your remarks are something that submissives looking for partners should ask themselves, as well. Maybe more dominants start out naturally... arrogant? But submissives on a site like this can quickly reach that mindframe, too, given the scads of attention they tend to get. And when both parties are impossibly arrogant, nobody gets laid. :(
