I know you think you're being helpful, but I found your post rather arrogant and condescending. What makes ANYONE in life "worthwhile" or self-confident, self-assured, (regardless of role) is their own sense of worthiness and no dominant in the world is going to give that to them. I do agree, taking online rejection personally and letting it effect that sense of worthiness is not something one should do. I think the appropriate response when that happens is to take a break and remember who you are and all the positive qualities you have and give that self-affirmation to YOU, not answer rhetorical questions that suggest someone else should. That will never work and it's way too much of a burden for any relationship to bear.

Status: offline 		I've got to agree with twoshoes - is unique really the point? Yeah, sure, I'm unique (insert "like everyone else" quote), but I don't really care if you care. Who are you? Why do I need to impress you? I can see impressing those who matter to me, but not strangers on the internet.

I don't pay attention to people who ignore me any more than they're paying attention to me, and I think we're all quite happy with that arrangement. Plus I think a little being ignored is good for the ego. As long as you don't fetishize it and attempt to chase after the attention of someone who isn't giving you any. Don't do that

Agree. 

I do not want to appeal to a mass audience, I want to appeal to a small segment of the male population.  And hopefully from that small pool, a few worthy will be netted, and then I get to choose.  I do not worry about being "unique", I am genuine and myself, and in being these things, the right guy will be pleased.

Status: offline 		The point you have missed is that i dont wish for you to view me as unique. I prefer dominant men to begin with. And not just any dominant man will do. I enter a room off line much like i did the rooms on line, quietly, quickly, and with as little muss and fuss as possible. A man who is looking will either address me or look beyond me. Why should i care if he doesnt look at me twice?

Sorry all for the delayed reponse, my apologies to anyone who took offense at this post. You are correct it was very early in the morning and i had read several "Why have i not met my perfect (or any) match) threads. being a "dime a dozen" male sub on CM, it seems that one has to be prepared for a level of rejection. Acceptance happens if one finds a way to stand more visibly in the crowd. maybe by creating pink smoke, or licking one's nose (or was that eyebow?) or having amazing shoulder dimples, or an amazingly hot pic tht still leaves a lot to the imagination, or someone whose ass is so hot that the sun pales in comparison (i know that isn't quite what you said, but....). Feel safe i am a lesbian trapped in a man's body.
My apologies again for any slight any of you might have felt, it was not my intention.

I think those are some good questions for both sides of the kneel.  Why limit them to subs?

While I appreciate the apology which seems sincere and the post was perhaps just not worded as you intended. This is one is not much different in that your premise is that one has to BE something unique or special or different. One has to be what they are and be comfortable with where they are in life and find someone else that fits with that, nothing more. Pink smoke, shoulder dimples, hot pictures, great asses....none of these things will make a relationship work....and are just smoke that eventually disappears.

Status: offline 		Very beautifully stated.  Comfort with one's own self seems pretty unique these days.  The post was prompted by another "Why doesn't anyone on collarme talk to me?" thread.  Yes, the smoke and mirrors which help people to find one another fades over time, but that is a completely different, and more complex issue.  i am quite open to suggestions as to how does one make love stay.
