ORIGINAL: juliaoceania Okay... I have had some weird things happen to me, but the weirdest thing I can think of just happened... I have been legally married since 1989, we separated in 1991. We never divorced, although both of us almost wanted to get married again a few times in 19 years. I have not seen him in 18 years because he lives in another state and my son would go there to see him. We hardly spoke, although we have been "friendly" over the phone when we did... Last week we started talking, and now I am going up there for Thanksgiving. We are talking about the possibility of reconciling... I think this is weirder than anything else I have thus far read on this thread..... please, someone try to beat it Yanno, call me crazy but I don't see this as weird. Interesting and unusual but not really all that surprising. I've know people in similar situations. We are not the same people that we were 20 years ago. That can be a good thing or not. If the ex-not-ex, expects you to be the same woman you were then, and visa versa.....it's not good. However, since you've a son together and obviously have communicated regularly and probably spent time together for your son, you likely know one another fairly well. In a sense, you've grown up together, just not wholly together. How that plays out actually being together, only time will tell.
