I like Jaun. Did he speak the truth...No. Or maybe a partial truth. If you are flying in the states and you get paranoid because people are wearing "muslim garb" on your flight.....You are an idiot. I don't think a single attack has been made in the States by someone wearing "muslim garb."

Jaun used a very poor choice of words. I am never nervous being around someone wearing a burka or other clothes associated with being a Muslim.

I don't think twice about it. I am not afraid of blacks or those evil Hispanics either. There is a common sense when one should be nervous about their surroundings. Being in a safe public place with your fellow Americans is not one of those times.

I think the woman that heads up NPR is a total twat for the comments she made directed at Jaun. She should be removed from her postion. That would be just and make me happy.

It also makes me happy that popeye invests in lottery tickets....Just another piece of the puzzle that is the douchebag, known as Pops.

Anybody wearing a burqa is unlikely to be a terrorist outside of Palestine, in any case. The suicide bombers we've had in the western world have all been the sort of idiotic little cunt who sees misogyny as an important part of their cultural heritage. It was a dumbass statement. Probably done on purpose cause he was negotiating his deal with Fox. Wouldn't be surprised if they had insisted he get rid of his NPR ties.

The only good part of the whole thing was the head of NPR's response.

I am THRILLED Juan Williams got fired.  Look...here is a guy, a LIBERAL guy, that expresses a "feeling" that people dressed in Muslim garb make him nervous then they board the same plane as him.  The guy gets fired.  Totenberg says things much more egregious but they are more in keeping with liberal hatred and so she is fine.  Do I feel nervous when people in Muslim garb board my plane?  Of course I do.  I'm going to pay a lot more attention to them than the old, Irish lady from County Cork.

But those are the rules for Liberals.  If you don't tow their line, you are a Racist or a Bigot.  And the same things happens here, doesn't it, SlaveMike. :)

Locked, I think we all know what the left is all about. I don't have a problem with most "liberals" most of them are pretty reasonable people but you have to realize what people like Totenberg are all about. They "claim" to be in favor of free speech but when someone actually excercises that right they're all over them! It can be "free" as long as it "agrees" with their warped sense of what's right and wrong.
We're seeing that played out in real life with the left's support of Obama while 30% of liberals who voted for him are having "buyer's remorse."
Evidently the left likes Obama's dictitorial style. In a year or so they'll all be wearing para-military style uniforms at NPR and other lefty places.
