OP, I get "well thought out" messages constantly. My inbox is currently backed up with 4 pages of mail. Many of those messages are duplicates of the "well thought out" messages, many are wank fodder, but most are from people who catch attitudes because I did not respond.

Nobody here owes you anything, let alone a response.

It is disappointing if you really put a lot of effort in a mail and don't get a response. But that's all. It's disappointing. Not rude.
Yes, their profile said they are searching and yes it said that they "always" respond. So what?

But now I've got a question. If you contacted someone and got a "No thanks" back. Did you reply and thanked them for the answer?
Because in my opinion it would be rude not to thank them.

Just to clarify, you tossed in the towel on this site quite a while ago and now you are not looking. Yet for some reason, you felt the need to start a thread whining because you don't get replies to your emails that you don't send anymore. I can't speak for the others, but I don't see the point at all.
