I've seen a lot of stupid things on FOX but this one tops them all: Odd controversy hits Obama's latest book President Obama's children's book, "Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters," hit shelves this week to a bit of unexpected controversy. At first glance, the 31-page book—which features short profiles and illustrations of American heroes like George Washington and Jackie Robinson—doesn't seem like it could stir up much debate. But Obama's decision to include Native American leader Sitting Bull didn't go over well with the headline writers at Fox Nation, a Fox News website. Their initial take: "Obama Praises Indian Chief Who Killed U.S. General." .....Fox News chief Roger Ailes claimed in a recent (unrelated) interview that his network doesn't take unfair shots at the Obama administration. But headlines like this one only give ammunition to the many Fox critics who contend that the Rupert Murdoch-owned network—and sites affiliated with it—will take every opportunity to criticize the Democratic president.

~chuckles yeah, i didnt think anyone would address that. There were over 300 slaves at Vernon at the time of Washinton's death. He freed them in his will... upon the death of his wife. Why do i bring this up? Sitting Bull was a native american. It was His country. And yet the only thing he can be remembered for is that he killed a US General... one who was gunning for him? I mean, honestly, if you were being hunted down for extermination because you refused to live on a reservation, what would you do? We honor slave owners because of their courage on the battle fields of old... yet dismiss men equally as courageous on the battle fields simply because they were not white. Fucking incredible.

Well Popeye I'm not too thrilled with MSNBC either, but it was FOX that started this degradation of supposed news channels into partisan opinion channels.
