Oh I read the article.  In fact I read several articles over the last few days.

My question was how is this screwing Obama?

We disagree on the fundamental principles and I doubt any casual chat will change your mind. Or mine for that matter.

I'm curious though, with your "wrong is wrong" position on traitors and thieves, how do you feel about Pfc. Bradley Manning, who hacked into secure servers, stole information he should not have had access to, and gave it to Wikileaks? And how do you feel about Wikileaks receiving and publishing that stolen information?

Here... and this one is generally sympathetic to The President...

Wikileaks is screwing President Obama royally and without a reach around even if you pretend they are not..

So do you think this theft/treason was justified?

Overall though, there is little to justify the screaming headlines of American foreign policy in crisis or being turned upside down. Instead, it’s a case of so far, so blah.

It might be something to get concerned about if anybody in your country gave a flying fuck about any of the whistles wikileaks has blown so far, but that doesn't seem to be the case so far.
Maybe they should abandon the political stuff and out Tom Cruise instead? America's a lot more interested in that, after all...

And?

This would make it bad enough, that Wikileaks is having The President jump around and paw at Cat Toy if this all...

But we know its not now don't we???

Didn't Bush write in his book...something along the lines of...."Netanyahu asked me to bomb Iran" or was it Syria....can't remember....but if anything's likely to cause trouble then it's that....

US spying on UN delegates? What a surprise eh.....countries have been doing that for years....it's only a few years back that the Russians discovered the British spying on them....and as we speak we have a series of murders in this country that are generally held to be the responsibility of the Russians.

None of this is new.....except David Cameron isn't held in high esteem in the US.....but then 'call me dave' isn't held in high esteem here as well.....there is nothing in there that will surprise anyone or tell any high raking diplomat in the respective countries anything they didn't already know courtesy of their own spying networks.

What the article you cited says is that the tempest in a teapot you are trying to brew is a non starter...but then you knew that

Where are wikileaks any different from the media, as the media is all too glad to publish what wiki leaks reveal, it could even be that wikileaks is them, just people who like to prod and feed on the ripples created no matter how damaging or dangerous it is, but what do we expect in a world motivated by money and power.

Way too many links .... but wow....

OK... so the link police don't cry, here is the NYT showing how Wikileaks screwed President Obama

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/29/world/29cables.html?_r=1&hp

Let me ask you something FDD, and this is a general question for all the conservatives and libertarians here.

How is it that you want limited government but support the right of government to withhold information from the public?

You seriously believe that a government should have no secrets at all? That  every single thing a government does should just be posted on the internet for everyone to read? You can't possibly believe that.
