Do you criticize the Voting Rights Act for "identity politics"?
Would you criticize Muslims for voting for a Muslim candidate?
Do you criticize Christians for voting foe Christians?

There are, btw, other religions I could vote for, so to speak. Islam isn't one of them. I am hardly shy about my vehement distaste for Islam.

Perhaps you might follow trends and events in Switzerland and the Netherlands. The Netherlands have a stable population because the Dutch are leaving in numbers as great as those of the Arab immigrants. Swiss politics today shocks many- but some there have decided that their culture, their nation, is worth defending.
The French are the puzzle. They attempted to outlaw Americanisms such as email in order to keep their language pure while there are Muslim clerics pushing for sharia.
 
Of course, you probably ignore creeping sharia in England, though. Or just deny it.

You might also check my thread on situational awareness. What you call paranoia is simply an instinct for self-preservation.

Ok, I'm revising from "not as paranoid as you are" to "a shedload less paranoid than you are".

Europe in general, and the UK in particular, has a long history of multiculturalism, stretching back centuries. Sure there will be changes over time, but change is the one constant - and the ones who fear change, rather than seeing it as an inevitable part of life, are usually the insecure folk.

I live in a strongly multicultural area and I find it's a great life.

the Swiss 'People Party' are a bunch of draconian racists.

I agree with RF. I have absolutely no problem with multiculturalism. I find racists to be generally ignorant and usually more interested in conflict than resolution.


If I were you trukinslave, I'd go and buy myself a little island and fill it with 'pure' Americans!

But- have you ever wondered what happens to the Middle East when the oil money runs out???
What happens in the Middle East when the oil money runs out?
That's not "change over time". That's not "change you can believe in". That's tomorrow, the answer is war, and the fifth columns are so very well established.

Or, maybe you think war is a thing of the past? That it can never happen to you?
