Maybe I'm wrong, but I have this suspicion that if it was one of the pagan sites that was struck by vandals, this thread would be taking a much different course.

You're wrong.

This from a guy who claims Pres. Obama is from Kenya. I'm afraid your opinion doesn't count for much.

When have I ever claimed he's from Kenya? You seem to have me confused with a few of the idiots on here who take that birther crap seriously.
(I'll give you a clue: they're all Americans.)

It's interesting to note that Glastonbury is a hot-bed of Paganism. Interesting too that the symbols of Christianity in the town are often shared by the Goddess worshippers and the rest of them. An attack on the holy thorn might be viewed as an attack on spirituality.

Yeah, Xtians aren't wanted there, that shown by the church on top of the Tor, twice it has fell down now, both I believe in earthquakes, which are kind of rare on that magnitude in the UK.

Maybe he thinks you said Thor not Tor?

Tor is an alternate spelling of Thor

I dont have the scandinavian runic close but it is at:

dtor  th tongue and palate while forming the lips in a d. Letter looks suspiciously like the globe and cross sovereign symbol you all got, old cabbage carries around on state occasions.

Scandi Scouser like.

Can you say Bryn Mrddyn? sort of like dd there

Nobody knows for sure where Dear Leader is from. I think he's from Mars. Why would he hide his birth certificate? Why hide is academic records? Why Why? Hey, he's toast anyway, plus I sure don't want that idiot biden as president.

I believe you might be confusing our planet with your own home planet.

I've seen plenty of threads derail in my time, but going from a felled thorn tree in England to the question of Obama's country of birth in 26 posts is pretty impressive...

Can you imagine the shitfit a few yanks on here would throw if a thread about American stuff got turned into a debate about which alien race Nick Clegg belongs to?
(Maybe we should give it a go, sometime...)

It's my belief that both matters are related at a deep and sinister level, Hertz.  Clearly, a secretive organisation of monks destroyed the tree because they knew that it was the source of the power of Satan, who has been reborn in the shape of Pres. Obama.   Right, that's this subject wrapped up.

It was probably vandalized by drunken teenagers. No conspiracies, no political or religious malice or statement. Just good ole fashioned dumbassery.

Most likely. But there wouldn't be a story in that, would there?

It's my belief that a secret society, operating across the world and since the dawn of civilisation, has been deliberately sowing the seeds of conspiracy theories wherever it possibly can.

I lived in Glastonbury once. I hated it. It's full of hippies, and the shops only sell quartz crystals and various takes on ornamental Arthurian swords (Arthur and his harlot spouse are apparently buried in the Abbey).

Plus, it's on a Ley-line, and the energies gave me a permanent head ache.

Don't ever think about going to Tintagel if you don't like hippies, crystals, dream catchers, plastic swords and plastic Merlins.... They even have a Camelot hotel, apparently newly renovated it's been 2 or 3 years since I was there and my hope is that the renovations made it slightly less kitsch but I doubt it...

Or Hawaii is not part of the US anymore and he managed to get the (Republican) governor of Hawaii to lie for him and verify the birth certificate as real, which as far as I know is published, but why bother with details... Though some idiots did a funny fake one...

Tor is a Cornish word, probably derived from the Brythonic Celtic language,  meaning rocky hill.

You can call it Thor though Ron, since we socialist commies all like to share with the poor.......lol
