ORIGINAL: hertz I lived in Glastonbury once. I hated it. It's full of hippies, and the shops only sell quartz crystals and various takes on ornamental Arthurian swords (Arthur and his harlot spouse are apparently buried in the Abbey). Plus, it's on a Ley-line, and the energies gave me a permanent head ache. Don't ever think about going to Tintagel if you don't like hippies, crystals, dream catchers, plastic swords and plastic Merlins.... They even have a Camelot hotel, apparently newly renovated it's been 2 or 3 years since I was there and my hope is that the renovations made it slightly less kitsch but I doubt it... When I lived 230 miles away from Tintagel, I used to go there a few times a year, but now I live about forty miles away from the place, I have not been there for about five years. Although Tintagel was not really the interest for going there, as I agree, it is kitsch aand one just has to draw amusement from that arthurian society they have there in that big hall thing. But the interest in Tintagel was Rocky Valley and St Nectan's Glen. They used to have a load of fab cats up at St Nectan's Glen.
