Bingo. Gun control has never been about guns and never will be. Politicians who cannot understand your first statement that I quoted really don't have to mental acumen to be making any sort of legislative decisions whatsoever. Any politician that favors gun control really should be removed and replaced immediately. They are entitled to their opinion as private citizens but they are unqualified for the office they hold.
