Not really.  The UK is experiencing budget cuts.  Any libraries that are open are on limited hours- and you have to pay for parking.

Newsflash, libraries anywhere in Europe are not open 24/7 but public libraries are still free, they have all certain opening times (just like in the US last time I was there) and parking in cities tends to cost everywhere, unless of course you want to drive around the block for 2 hours in the hope to get one of those few free parking spots, we all heard rumors that they exist, I usually don't come across all that many, cheapest solution is to go to a supermarket and buy something, most give you a voucher that makes your parking free - on both sides of the pond!

Moonhead -> RE: Are the British more law abiding than Americans? (1/7/2011 11:41:49 AM)

You're a lot less likely to have some tosspot break into your car in a supermarket car park than you are in a multistory as well.

Pretty much most of america is pissed and they are getting smarter

Yeah, America's watching Digger Barnes's spiral into the abyss and they don't really give a fuck about the great ideal.

quote:

they are learning its not the jews that are to blame for all the ills
its the crown cronies, the aristocracies, vatican and banksters.

If they thought 'the Jews' were to blame for the world's ills then they can't really regress and the only way is up, so progressing from blaming 'the jews' to blaming 'the crown'..well...yeah, it's progress...but that doesn't mean these smart people you talk of are anything but a set of knackers with the brains of a malnourished stoat.

They are finally waking up.

As it happens, was reading a philosophy (collection of) book the other day penned by an American. Pound for pound the English were easily represented more than any other nationality (naturally), but you Yanks didn't do so bad yourselves. I reckon your countrymen are a touch more wily than yourself, Real0ne.
