Do you really think a dr would understand a womans need to be a slave to a man, and would be a good person to ask about slavery related tasks that are safe to do in bed? I can understand how it may seem like he's not wanting to accept that she'd bed ridden, and should be resting, but If I asked my dr what I could do to retain my slave headspace* if I had one an I don't* while sick, she wouldn't begin to know the first thing to tell me. And it's probably the wrong time for this ,given that things are getting a lil tense here, but pokes your avatar, in a gesture o being silly an fun , just because it says poke me I dare you hehehe My point is You dont know this...I dont know this....The only person who would know this is HER DOCTOR.... However I do know Folding laundry isnt a good idea it moves the abdomen... When you have something in that area your not supposed to move.... moving it isnt the best suggestion.... I guess my largest gripe and probably the reason for the more harsh treatment..... is he came online to asks strangers instead of the medical professional, if he felt comfortable enough to ask about anal... why cant he ask about other things as well. It comes across as Ive been told X but i dont really believe it... Could I be wrong sure, have i been wrong in the past Yes... will i be wrong in the future... Yes... But what im taking from the Op is ... I dont want to do what has been suggested by the doctor.. so what else...

While a few would because they are in the lifestyle themselves, I think this is a very good point and one I tried to make before. I know that if someone asked my Father how do this, he would stare blankly at them and go.... "Uh.... what?". And yes, of course he can ask about specific activities. But first he has to have an idea of what activities to ask about. Physicians, sadly, are not mind-readers. It would certainly make their jobs easier if they were. So while they can't go "Oh, to keep your headspace do this, this, and this" they can say "Ok, no folding laundry. You can use a laptop and watch TV but don't sit-up. She wants to read a lot? Yeah sure, just make sure she sleeps at least X hours a day". And perhaps they already all that and are looking for people's ideas that they can alter to fit what her doctor ordered. I really don't see anything in the OP's post that implies he plans to disregard her doctor's orders.

What if you sat in bed and folded it after your mate brought it to you? I've folded laundry in bed and it's required no movement other than my arms, and a little reaching motion, which could be alleviated very easily with the laundry being right in your lap an not where you have to reach for it. course the abdomin could be moving an I just didn't notice it. That would be very helpful all the way around. Which, by the way, OP, I do suggest doing if you haven't already gotten the detailed instructions or have any doubts/concerns/questions. And it doesn't hurt to call anyway to double or triple check. [:)]

And maybe if it wouldn't back fire, the OP could task her in watching HIM do things, it's a task one can easily follow, and can be quite fun, if you're good at being amusing or ok with looking foolish. He could sing and dance for her, or put on a puppet show she was ordered to watch. hehe.

I suspect that he didn't go into as much detail because he's new to the forums. He does later say that doing everything he can to help goes without saying to him. And even says that he is primarily focused on her recovery. He says that she can't do her normal household duties, that she is under her doctor's orders (so they are following him), mentions what kind of sex she is allowed, and then asks about her mind and boredom. It seems to me that he is being personally attacked because he thought aiding in her recovery went without saying. Which, to me anyway, is a plus. It shouldn't need to be stated and held out. It should simply be there as a given for him.

. There are tasks people have suggested, minus the folding laundry, or blow job, that don't involve lifting, or bending, or twisting. The main confusion seems to be from the term task, which most people automatically think of as meaning to do something, like laundry, or washing the dishes, or something of those sorts. Try thinking of tasks as something mental, like reading a book you were told to read, or watching 10 CSI episodes an then tell me what you learned. Aquatic, and if his show was horrible, well then it really would be an act of submission to submit to it lol. Hey TFB I've had an ovarian cyst. And I was always the one to fold the laundry. If my Domme had shoved the laundry in front of me while I was doubled over in pain....I would have made sure that my next puke was on her pillow. (I learned that one from the cats) No one needed to "order" me into bed--that kinda pain tells you who's boss. Thank god for MAS*H marathons. I think that the OP actually got a lot of decent suggestions--journaling, internet surfing, non-physical things that would help time go by and give her a purpose/something to do would achieve both tasks.

Daddy would probably be very embarassed for me to admit this publically, but he uses our stuffed toys to amuse me, sometimes when I am cranky or upset he makes them talk to me, and when I need amusing he makes them dance for me or do funny voice impressions, or something cute. And sometimes when communication has broke down an there's no reaching me personally, he'll get one of my favorite stuffed toys, who we refer to as babies, to talk to me an reason it out with me, since I can listen an focous on them, but I am incapable at the moment to focus on him.

Val does similiar. Only he usually uses the furbabies. Like he will hold the ferret in front of him and ask in a squeaky voice "have you forgiven Daddy? Cause I'd be sad if you killed him." or something else completely off the wall and silly. [:)]
