So often, wanting no limits is the fantasy. Realistic limits are the good sense of reality. I doubt anyone ever really plays 'no limits' with anyone they don't first know and trust. And that means you're likely to already know the limits beyond which they would not take you, as they know how far they can push you. At the finish, for all that we sometimes say, its about having fun. It can be exciting to imagine being totally out of your own control; but that's just fantasy, in the safety of our own imagination. Unless we share the fantasy with someone sane and sensible, the reality could be nothing like that. And then were are we?

True story: Two of my top friends were talking to a new person to the space. He was a very arrogant, overly loud boy who very proudly donned an orange hanky in his right pocket, and kept insisting "anything goes", which was the equivalent then of "no limits.' So they took him downstairs and about five minutes later, I hear this intense screaming....... followed by orange hanky boy grabbing his coat and leaving the dungeon. I asked my friends what they could have possibly done to him--the boy who cried anything goes--in such a short amount of time. Apparently, they tied him down to the medical table, broke out the medical drapes, alcohol, and scalpels (for ritual cuttings).... and told him that my one friend had a very serious amputee fetish, and they were so excited to finally be able to fulfill it.... and they began deciding which finger to remove when he start screaming. They admitted that they didn't know what they would have done if he had been agreeable to it.....but neither felt bad about scaring the piss out of him.

No limits? You listed several limits in your OP. I don't buy "no limits." Everyone has limits. Those submissives who say they have no limits really mean they have a level of trust with their dominant that the dominant knows the submissive so well the unspoken limits will not be crossed. To anyone who says they have no limits, I challenge them to say the same thing when the deep fat fryer is revealed. And to rationalize it by saying "Well, I have no limits other than scat" is silly because "no scat" is a limit. There are plenty of people for whom scat is not a limit. The phrase "consensual non-consent" includes the word "consensual," and part of consent is being able to withdraw consent at any time, even if "excessive screaming" should occur. Now of course some people like to play that there are no limits, and that's fine. But that's just play.
