Ok , lets start with the "constant comparison to Nazis". got any examples? Or are you the one re-writing history?

ACA is INTENDED to lead to a government takeover. Reporting on it from that viewpoint is totally responsible.

Iraq...you are objecting to reporting of what the administration was saying? Whether or not you live in a fantasy world where Bush knew there were no WMDs, EVERY reporter/host reported it as being one of the justifications, regardless of their political leanings. You are simply wrong about Al Qaeda specifically being one of the justifications.

TARP was passed by a Democrat congress. The GOP was largely ignored in the drafting of it and the majority of the GOP opposed it. If it werent for the lies about there being an economic collapse without it there would have been more opposed.

Biggest FAIL of this short year.

Beck is constantly comparing the Obama admin. and the dem congress as acting like the nazis or promoting so-called 'nazi' policies...like coming to take your kids away from you if you refuse vaccinations for them.

Reagan won the Cold War.

Lefties, please proceed to illustrate the double standard inherent in the discussion at hand.

Reagan was in office when the cold war was won...that's all.

Iraq was no threat to us and if Hussian was such a threat to us or the world, then why haven't we use force against all of the other regimes that were or are doing the same now ? These are both wars for profit, spending and will force the congress to finally achieve neocon nirvana...'starve the beast.'

We will not see a single cut in corporate benefits, tax code dodges, subsidies or welfare.

You do realize that link is to the House Bill, and not the law. It was reconciled with the Senate Bill.

Have you read it?

ETA~

Why didnt you post the real source of your list?

http://www.healthtransformation.net/cs/home

I am aware that a reconciliation bill was passed at the same time. I will not claim to have read it, nor the health care law. I get my info from summaries. I have trouble enough focusing on finishing reading 2700 pages of something I enjoy, there is no way I could do it with something as dry as legislation.

The source of those 5 powers was posted by me in the post just prior to the one where I listed them, but then it was ignored, so I copy pasted them.

The whole point is that there are powers that the government does now have that used to rest with insurance companies, doctors and hospitals. There are people in this thread that are just flat out denying that fact. Pretending as if it was a 2700 (or something like that, I cant remember the final length exactly) page bill that just says "Cant deny for preexisting conditions now, and everyone's got to buy insurance".

Next, I knew I should have avoided this thread. The absurdity is out of control. Goodwins Law from the get go.

They were, and this is historic fact, fascists, which is the exact opposite of a socialist.

They are in no way opposites. They are adjacent to each other in the political circle. You can get to facism from the left or from the right. To deny that the Nazis socialized industries through direct ownership or intimidation of the ownership into producing for them you are once again rewriting history.

Not true. Fascism is similar to socialism only in that govt. takes ownership or in fact assumes control of the means of production. The split soon as the ownership is taken into private Nazi hands and/or only the party realizes the benefits of ownership. (which the nazis did...much of it their own) yes, some businesses remained in private hands, Nazi hands only and were under the control of the state. Socialism does nothing of the sort.

Fascism being a complete police state, runs a complete command economy whereas socialism does not. Fascism holds the citizen and politics slave to the state. Socialism with it partial ownership operates business to the benefit of society as well as stock holders

Socialism merely holds citizens as part owner of the means of production.

So, in classical conservative style, all your opinions are proved incorrect you simply state that the argument is out of control and you leave? .....Is the you Dubya?

Reagan was a confused old man who couldn't remember which hand he preferred to jack off with.

It is just so comical to listen to conservatives repeating this nonsense.

Right on schedule, RML

Oh. It's most amusing how you completely get the use of outrageous statements to make a point, when you do it...

Myself, I'm a Nazi Marxist Socialist Commie.

But when someone of a conservative bent uses the technique, you don't. Would you care to explain why that is?

Yes, it's because I'm a Nazi Marxist Socialist Commie.

You really need to pay more attention Richie.

Hes new honey, he doesnt realise that many of us have actually read the damn bill and require intellectual honesty and reliable sources, not just... "I read it somewhere"...or using blogs and WND or Drudge as sources..or "this is my opinion and you must take it as fact".

What your saying is wait and read whatever somebody else wants you to know and think instead doing it for yourself.
