Cute is the person you really enjoy, think is attractive and have fun with. Fukin sexy is the same girl but given any chance yer gonna fuk'er!

In English English there's an implication of childishness, or 'little'-ness. Cute =/ sexy.

Feel gooder?

An fer yer own edification, if you lived closer you would be fukin sexy!

Pics of your resulting injuries, or it didn't happen. [8D]

Won't happen. While not being an aggressive or nasty person, I am most definitely the man with whom not to fuck :)

Plus my mates are used to my somewhat ... “individual” sense of humour. I generally provide them with a degree of entertainment.

Not forgetting, of course, that it’s all in the delivery; if you say “you've got lesbian hair!” in a mocking way then of course people might take offence.

But few people can reject what sounds like a compliment; “wow man, great lesbian hair, love it!”.

Has to be worth a go :)

And if I lived closer you'd be on my list ;-)

(I think perhaps the word 'cute' is used in a different way in the UK from the US. Which means Peon's got no excuse, but I can forgive the rest of you for being so mistaken.)

Well send me pics and I'll decide. I'm impartial.

Nobody who's been on the forum for more than five minutes is impartial; these memes are infectious.

And Mr Troll, I'm only down as gay because there's no option for homoflexible :p

You know I love the slurpage just as much as anyone...

I'm fairly resistant, but not to worry.

LadyNTrainer -> RE: How do you pronounce Domme? (1/27/2011 7:54:21 PM)

The D at the beginning of the word should be silent.  Likewise the following vowel, and the next two consonants, and the vowel after that.

Not a fan of the name I take it.

No.  In addition to being a faux-French, pretentious made-up word, it is an unnecessarily diminishing and cutesy, frilly feminization that makes me shudder.  It is a linguistic as well as a semantic abomination.  A dominant is a dominant is a dominant; making up femmy versions of the shortened slang form is just silly.  If you want a reasonable shorthand contraction for "female dominant", "femdom" is a better choice than embarrassing yourself by pretending you speak French.

Tantriqu -> RE: How do you pronounce Domme? (1/27/2011 9:46:05 PM)

I prefer Domme. Like most Canadians, I speak franglais, so I have no trouble with a feminine noun, and after all, I *do* put the 'me' in Dom'me' ;-) I find I even pronounce dom and domme differently, with the lips together for longer for Dommmme.

To me the pronunciation of 'femdom' is even less obvious, since it looks like freedom, i.e., emphasis on the first syllable, or like a femidom, the female condom.
For males, if there's a homdom, does one then pronounce it humdum?

But yes, just as how we wish to be addressed, we are all individuals! so to each her own.

Depends on the Domme really, I will give you a short list so you can jus expand upon as you learn.

LadyPact- Oh Goddess my Goddess.
LaTigress - Ouch! Owe! Yes Ma'am.
SexyBossyBBW - Command me my goddess *scrape grovel lick*
KC- *gulp* Your wish is my command my Lady.

So, as you can see that it is, in fact, spelled Domme, it has many pronunciations.
Absolutely, skip the Domme (sounds just like Dom) altogether, and go with the above, or
quote:

PeonForHer
Short Dommes - those under 5' 5", prefer the 'dommie' pronunciation and will be especially impressed if you use the unabbreviated term, which is 'Dommiewommey' - or 'Dommiewommeykins' if they're under the age of 25. However, all femdoms would prefer, most of all, to be referred to as 'girls', 'girlies', or 'skirt'.
LOLOL [sm=biggrin.gif][sm=biggrin.gif]    Best advice.    Seriously, if you pay attention to the particular lady's desire, as in first example, and/or have a great sense of humor, how to pronounce Domme shouldn't be a problem.    M

SpyUnderCover -> RE: How do you pronounce Domme? (1/28/2011 9:52:26 AM)

I'm partial to "Domme," with one syllable. If, in speaking, there is a need to distinguish between male and female, I will say "FemDom," but with the written word it's almost always "Domme."

Incidentally I've noticed mispronunciations or alternate pronunciations for a few D/s terms. One that comes to mind is "D/s" itself. I've actually heard a couple people say that as if it were "deez." I've always just said the two letters one after the other, like I would somebody's initials.

They should re-open Alcatraz for people who do that.

I thought I would put this in the "Ask a Mistress" section, since technically, you are the Dommes.  I learned that Domme was pronounced the same as "Dom."  But I have heard other people pronounce it as "Dom-AY".

I hear people say the latter more than the former, to distinguish it from "dom". Some people say it "doe-may" (domain without the nnn).

Agreed.

But worst of all in the Legion Of The Clueless are those who post replies above the post they're answering.

I'd cheerfully hack their heads off with a rusty knife.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing online?
