The D at the beginning of the word should be silent. Likewise the following vowel, and the next two consonants, and the vowel after that.

I prefer Domme. Like most Canadians, I speak franglais, so I have no trouble with a feminine noun, and after all, I do put the 'me' in Dom'me' ;-) I find I even pronounce dom and domme differently, with the lips together for longer for Dommmme. To me the pronunciation of 'femdom' is even less obvious, since it looks like freedom, i.e., emphasis on the first syllable, or like a femidom, the female condom. For males, if there's a homdom, does one then pronounce it humdum? But yes, just as how we wish to be addressed, we are all individuals! so to each her own.

I'm partial to "Domme," with one syllable. If, in speaking, there is a need to distinguish between male and female, I will say "FemDom," but with the written word it's almost always "Domme." Incidentally I've noticed mispronunciations or alternate pronunciations for a few D/s terms. One that comes to mind is "D/s" itself. I've actually heard a couple people say that as if it were "deez." I've always just said the two letters one after the other, like I would somebody's initials. Spy
