Funny thing about prison planet, it never tells the truth. IF pahunk would have done a little research, he would have discovered the rolling blackouts had NOTHING to do with no new power plants being approved (there is a coal fired power plant under construction just west of here,) but the fact that the cold caused dozens of generators to go offline. quote:
HOUSTON (Reuters) – Texas imposed statewide rolling blackouts for only the second time in over two decades on Wednesday after frigid weather shut down dozens of generators, and warned that it may be forced to do the same on Thursday. source A little more research would have given him the information that this is the second time in ten years this has happened, the first time was in 2006 when an abnormally high heat wave hit in April of that year. (who was president in 2006?) Finally, lets talk about the Obama Administration NOT approving power plants. For the record, President Obama announced loan guarantees for two new reactors at Georgia Power's Vogtle NPP in February 2010. The biggest problem with new nuclear power plants is not the Federal Government or the Obama administration as pahunk's source claims, but the lack of financing. Nobody wants to invest in power plants, leaving the government to insure the loans or actually make the loans to build the plants, which would of course increase the deficit. The simple truth is that pahunk is either too intellectually challenged to actually find out the truth dealing with the stuff he posts, or he just doesn't care and is trying to fuel conspiracy theory rumors to give him some sense of importance.
