Hey, Peon.

Some people wipe out the words because they mean to redo their profile and forget to get around to it for a while, and others have things deleted because they sounded of on a specific username here...or something like that.  Most of us rarely look at our own profiles, so sometimes I give a heads up on what I see.  Can anyone else see writing?  Now I'm starting to wonder if my browser settings are messed up too, whatever that means, lol.

I don't see this as a scam. Two adults, two supposedly functioning adults, one that wants money and is clear about that fact and one that seems a little cloudy on how he thinks about that and wants the opinion of others. Where's the scam?

However, I do see it as funny.

Got to say, I always just find this sort of thing a bit squalid and depressing, myself.

It can either be funny or sad that someone was clear about what they wanted (money) and then someone else would have the option to lie to themselves thinking it was something it wasn't when it was clear in the first place. Sad is that someone would be so hungry they would do anything to get what they want or try to believe someone wanting their money was sincere in anything but wanting their money. I guess it just depends on how you look at it.

I am looking at it like I am a bit tired of people whining about being taken in, when they had to lie to themselves in the first place to be taken in. There are many men that wish to be treated like this. Those that don't and think or lie to themselves to believe that someone in this type of situation might be sincere, have no one to blame other than themselves and helped themselves to a life lesson they really needed to learn.

Then to admit they weren't sure... come on... dunce hat and corner time. That's depressing or in a sadistic way... for me... funny. lol

Where on earth people get the impression CM is not a welcoming place for newbies I will never know ...

I mean, seriously, we've all done silly things ... not that silly, I grant you, but some values of silly.

Yes, but most grown adults who have been in relationships, dating, etc. do know that if someone asks you for money and you have not met or it would not be for a commerce exchange as has been discussed above, then some tough love replies are needed, no?

I don't see this as not being welcoming, I see it as pointing out the obvious.

You know, I have actually been waiting for you to direct something at me, because I was sure it was coming. I have welcomed many people. I have encouraged a lot of growth in people and helped some to not step on their own toes. However, anyone that cannot see a scammer by an adult age... may have larger problems than doing something silly. Saying so and giving my opinion doesn't mean I don't welcome many others who might actually do something silly.... I see silly and stupid as two different things and so do you actually or you wouldn't have said... not that silly.

Take your passive aggressive and shove it somewhere the sun doesn't shine.

Yet, the times in My life when I was being an idiot, I had people tell Me that I was, in fact, being an idiot.

Mmmm. Nup. Maybe it's just my mood tonight, as well as the extra-pissy weather here in Bristol. On CM, I've seen too many women who've come across men that have seemed fine, but who then have turned out to be con-artists, as well as too many men who've been in the OP's position. Normal jocular service will be restored after I've got nicely bladdered, maybe.

What's wrong with simply answering the question without putting the verbal patella in?

I mean if the person's clearly being a twat for the sake of it, as per that other "I AM SEXY MACHINE" thread running ATM then sure, but if it's just a plain question what's wrong with a plain answer?

<shrug>

It's a fucking fine line. At least he asked, rather than whinging about the situation as so many arseholes do. I doubt he'd bother again. I sure as shit wouldn’t.

I mean ok, I wouldn't have had to ask in the first place, but you know what I mean.

Peon, I can understand where you are coming from. Was money and something that obvious involved? Someone lying about how they present themselves is different than someone trying to get into your wallet. That is more clear than anything I can think of at the moment. It isn't you they are interested in, but your wallet. It's kind of hard to get confused when they openly admit, they want the money. I wish all people that lied about themselves were that obvious. One can invest a lot of time to play out a lie... and they don't openly admit what they are doing, such as in this situation.

And you have never done that? Never... ever seemed unwelcoming or said something with attitude or that was down right mean?

Yeah... okay...

While I really appreciate you being that obsessed with me, due to comments I directed at some idiot post of yours a while back, and while I'm deeply gratified that you've been sat on tenterhooks ever since, waiting to communicate the bile that's clearly been building in you for some time, I should point out that my comment was directed at your comment, not at you.

Calm down before you make yourself look even more stupid.

It would be difficult for me not to reach that conclusion, since you said as much yourself.

In your post.

It's hammering down in Her Majesty's Capital too, if that helps any. And the wind! As if yesterday was God's weekly Extra-Strong Curry Night.

Thoroughly unpleasant, but nice and warm and cosy inside.

I can do you "Old Empire" Strong IPA, a very nice Shiraz, a fairly ordinary Chardonnay, red Aftershock*, Sambuca or Rumtopf.

Or all of them, if required.

*blame RCdc for that one
