Is it really this difficult to find a domme to serve?

From the various stories I've read on CM, it would appear it's not easy to find a good one, no.

Mind you, it's not so easy anywhere in life to find a great relationship, so perhaps that's unfair.

But persistence and good cheer may eventually provide results.

Best way to approach a domina, is like any other woman.   Without kink talk, I can't imagine tribute talk would enter the equation.
It's perfectly fine to want to engage only in play, and not courtship/relationship rituals.

I think the best place to find play partners, is by joining BDSM groups or going to munches.   Online too, but I wouldn't consider anyone real, or send them money until our eyes met, and they were within touching distance.    M

Wow, had no idea people would start arguing and bickering.  People thanks for your advice.  It's unfortunate some  have to throw in their little insult jabs at me but I am finding it all entertaining.

Is it really this difficult to find a domme to serve?

You know, if a woman would ask the same question and if she should send a stranger money and if it might be a scam, we'd tell her the same. Why on earth would you send money to ANY stranger? It's really not that difficult a question... Money for nothing or a vague hope, play the lottery, a lot cheaper....

As to how difficult it is to find a domme to serve, it sounds you want one to serve you, whip you and then send you back to the corner, I wouldn't say you are looking for somebody to serve, it seems you want somebody who is fulfilling your kinky expectations, possibly also when it suits you and you are in the mood. That might be a lot more difficult to find. We want to be seen as people and not just whipping machines who also should be eye candy to you...

Part of your kink would resonate with me, as I do like to whip, but the way you present yourself wouldn't make you appealing to me, I'd want to know more about you than just your kink and I would hope that a sub would also see me as a bit more than somebody who whips on demand.

Are they supposed to be a charity then? Or is it labelled as a business?

*Cackle* I don't know if it could pass itself off as a charity under U.S. law.

MystressWorld cmailed me soon after I joined CM. There was a lot of blather about how I showed 'exceptional qualities'. (You know, hit them in the ego, and hit them hard.) That intrigued me. They asked questions and replied with what looked like tailored responses. Wow, was I the best thing since sliced bread, or what?

And their website, though amateurish (misspellings, bad images, broken links, etc), still put them in a league above the pisspoor scammers whose cmails I'd been used to receiving. These typically show girls who looked about 18, claiming to live in Kalamazoo, Canada, and into every D/s kink in the known universe. MystressWorld presented me with pics of serene-looking, elegant and well coiffured women in their thirties or older.

As the cmails went on, the compliments were piled on. At a certain point, where it looked like their 'training' they were offering in their 'school' really amounted to no more than adding polish to pure gold, they asked for an advance on fees. I have to say, it was a class act. But I'd got suspicious well before they'd done the money-ask. Besides, I couldn't see why I needed any 'submissive training' unless it came from a partner, least of all from what now looked like a bunch of semi-literate, over made-up and overripe, stuffed haddocks.

One thing I utterly loathe about con-artists is that device of beefing up a sense of self-worth that you'd long since resigned yourself to accepting as never being redeemable. I think there's pretty normally going to be a certain sense of lack of self-worth attached to being a submale (however residual, as it is in my case) and it really gets on my tits when I see that being targeted because, if the con is successful, you're no doubt going to feel even worse about yourself than you did before.

Cheers for the (well written, as always) explanation, it's appreciated. I had no idea.

What utterly repellent, scumbag individuals.

I don't know how some people can live with themselves and their actions, really I don't.

An Amazon wish list is super great to get rid of the guys who write you and bug you on and on how they want to be your money pig, if you tell them you're not interested and block them, they come back with a new name, give them a wish list and they are never seen again!

It must be extremely residual (a good thing, if one is ambivalent about being...), because I've never gotten the impression you lacked self worth.

Sounds like you were aware early on that you were being complimented just a little too much...   Wonder why you continued communication, until they asked for money.   Were you jus letting it play out to confirm your suspicions?     M

Ain't that the truth?!   I have gotten something from Amazon wishlist, but it was from someone I had dated in the past, sweet dude.    M

I won't have any of that shit in my life, RF - not ever. I'd rather carry on single and croak that way than even touch that world. Christ, you've got to put a limit on how much cynicism you'll take, somewhere.

Agreed.

A few years back I had the opportunity to make quite a substantial amount of money from something that, though it was legal, wasn't (IMHO at least) right.

I refused to have anything to do with it.

I don't regret the decision.

LOL!!! I was getting pestered by a wannabe moneypig. I love to mess with folk, so I sent him my paypal and told him to pony up (as it were). He sent me $15! I had a serious laugh.

I can't imagine running a con for money. Just have a sex site, ffs! Be honest.

Go ahead and report their profile. I would if I were you. These types of scammers are much worse than trolls and should be dealt with by collarme personel. Not to mention, any domme who demands money to consider you without even seeing you is not worthy of being your domme.

Hi All,

I just recently had an experience with a potential domme who was demanding a $250 gift card just to be considered even though she said she would stop talking to all other potential subs if I sent this to her.  After I questioned a few things and asked why money has to be an indicator of a sub's loyalty, she finally said she cannot deal with a sub who is cheap and stubborn and said she was moving on to other potential subs.  She never gave me any details about what is expected of me as a sub or what she is into or anything as to what her circumstances might be.  All that was demanded before anything was a $250 gift card.

This sounded a like a scam to me and I would really appreciate some feedback as I don't know what to make of this.

I would just move on, anyone who doesnt think my word is good enough, isnt for me. I can understand some Dommes asking for cash due to timewasters and such. While I may consider pay to play, I wouldnt consider play to prove myself.

Yes, jerseyboy06, I can read it just fine now.
