I completely agree with Troll's original post. It seems to take my pets a while to figure out that unless I ask for help or for someone else to do it, I'm more than content to do it myself and chances are good that means to simply stay out of the way. Some people around me just never learn that unfortunately. Although I do certainly appreciate the thought and the effort when they wish to help, I tend to be a very stubborn and self sufficient individual. That also means, unless I've asked them to do something, I'm happy for them to just sit back and relax. I'm a dom, not a slave driver on a plantation. If I decide I want to go out and buy my pet something nice, I'm doing it because I damn well please. Not out of any sense of needing to, but thoroughly out of wanting to. If I'm cooking dinner, I'm doing so because I happen to enjoy it, not because my pet doesn't know how, or isn't good enough. So just sit down and rest and enjoy dinner. Don't over-think things.
