I don't think thats gonna happen, it would further fractionalize their base: Look at all the serial liars and buffoons they are backing now, I will say they are kicking out their serial predators as fast as they find them, but there is still plenty of them lurking in the minneapolis airport bathrooms.

You may be right, but still... it seems clear the Republicans need to find some way to attract a better class of human being to their ranks. Serial liars, sexual predators, and totally incompetent buffoons may not seem like much of a step up, but at least it's a step in the right direction. They've got to start somewhere.

Some of the keynote speakers at the CPAC were Rumsfeld, Cheney, Romney, Bachmann, Gingrich, Pawlenty and I suppose Palin. I don't see them elevating their gazing above the gutter at this point.

Isn't it interesting how the Wall Street Journal and Fox News keep trying to make the Egyptian uprising about the Muslim Brotherhood? And it's even more interesting that they are both owned by the same company.

Or look at the age of the people, the 66 year old would have been 23 in the 67 war, and I can tell you that the attitude of living ww2 veterans were no united germany overall. So you have the old view, and the new view, based on past experiences and whatnot.
