I am super excited but there's also serious draw backs that might make it unworthwhile, too, but mostly excited. It's a phone operator job the company is a home security alarm installation company and I'll be calling potential customers to see if I can get them to agree to have the alarm system sales pitch his sales plot to them.

it's 8 bucks an hour but you could make up to 600 to 800 either a week or a month, their top personal make 1k, and that's not counting commissions.

It's a phone job. Put on your best voice and best of luck.

Remember what they want. They want a voice. That is what you're showing them, so use the most pleasant tones possible. Try not to get tougue twisted and if you do, recover as quickly as possible.

Also when you get the job, talking on the phone I guess, keep on that working out idea. Sedentary jobs can kill. If Daddy don't wanna go, you have to go yourself. Work and work are two different things. You putz around the house even, that's moving around. On the phone all day you will be sitting there in one spot for periods of time. Maybe make it a point to go do a few reps or whatever every day after work.

It's sales. From what you wrote I imagine you'll be making appointments for their in home salespeople to do their pitch. In a way you're selling the salesmen, but it boils down the same. Sell. They are selling security, that means they are selling fear. Remember that. Ever been robbed ? Know anyone who has been ? Use that. Getting robbed is no fun, I know from presonal experience. Use that. Use everything in your power to make them money.

That's how you make your own luck.

I have gotten proper support in my hunt for nutritional answers, and I've always wanted to go to a personal trainer and work out and stuff, but they were super costly. When Lady N mentioned planetfitness and I found one 8 miles from us, that had reasonable rates and guest policies I jumped on it.

my seasonal job is drying up (though i can't say i mind the end of winter =p) so i'm hoping to find something more permanent. it's iffy when you've got school hours...

Good luck with the Appointment Setting Job. I was a telemarketing manager for a few years and I have some words of advice. 1) Always keep dialing. The more calls you make the better the odds to set that appt. 2) Keep talking until the person on the other end tells you to take them off their list or hangs up. 3) dont take anything personally that anyone screams at you while you are the phone with them. If you call them and they are so pissed that they curse you out.. just let it roll off your shoulders. 4) Have a sense of humor. You could go crazy sitting there making calls so I suggest that you crack some jokes with your coworkers.. it will make time fly. 5) dont let the rejection bother you. They are rejecting the product NOT you.

Some fitness advice to.. 1) get up and walk around 2x an hour. 2) Since you will be sitting all day I suggest stretching out your hipflexors and calfs. 3) be mindful of what you are eating. Try to limit your at desk snacking. Good Luck
