I've come to the realization this past year that I do believe I'm poly. :) So, I've updated my profile as such and I can't help but secretly wish that 2 or 3 men from the boards would respond.

They don't live near me, so they wouldn't fit what I'm looking for anyway, but...I am enjoying the fantasy. Am I the only one with a crush on someone on the boards?

I would think the first order of business is exploring your emotions for those men. Feelings certainly aren't subject to temporal restrictions that limit real life relations. See what you feel.

lemme get this straight. You actually are interested in one or more specific men. You're updated realization of yourself tells you that you're perhaps a match for them. Yet your chosen strategy is to wait for them to get their back-ordered shipment of ESP pills, deduce all this, and give you a ring? I think your own signature about covers that one :)

The answer to your real question: No, you're not. There are one or two subs on these boards that I admire greatly. I suspect most of us are in that boat :)

I have crushes on like at least 3 forum and 29 actual people. (I'm also wined up to the point where I'm florishing things with unnecessary exaggerations.)

And I don't know if it's related to my young age, but I tend to think most of everyone I meet to be utterly amazing almost immediately. It's staggering. I have like 3 new crushes just from today from people I've talked to for the first time. Coincidentally, I've had a fantastic day.

I actually got a little crush on the guy from the electric company I spoke to on the phone at work today. He had a great voice. I mooned over it for a few hours.

Perhaps I'm pitifully starved for sex. Is this what abstinence does to the mind? Makes me doe-eyed over a voice in my ear about after-hours emergency numbers in case a fiber optics connection is damaged?

Forum crushes?  Sure.  I've got a few.  Same case.  If certain subs were local to Me, I'd definitely throw My hat in the ring. 

On the other bit, it's not all that unusual for a person to consider being poly due to a particular person that they would want to be in a dynamic with.  While I don't really dip My toe in the water when discussing 'converting' vanilla folks to BDSM, I've certainly converted some from monogamy to poly.

There's a waiter at my local Olive Garden that gives me shivers....oh God, his voice. My gf's love to take me there and watch me get all red and awkward if we're lucky enough to get him to wait on our table.

I have had crushes on LOTS of women there.  I suppose it's all the extra testosterone.  I consider myself polyflirtatious online.

And I'm not sure how to express this but I have entirely platonic crushes on a few people here, where I would simply love to have them in my life as friends.

The previous man I was with started off as a forum crush here on CM.

After about 2 years of drooling, and clicking on his profile about a million times a day... he mailed me to ask if I wanted a subscription to his profile....

At that point I was still a CM wall-flower and had never posted here before (he, in fact, forced me to start posting, I would have never on my own, I was too shy).

We started talking and I ended up moving I don't know how many thousands of miles to be with him... didn't work out in the end, but oh well, at least it shows that forum crushes DO lead to relationships sometimes. [:D]

I'm currently married to another man I met here on CM... not on the forums though.

And even though I'm married, yes I do have to admit to having a current forum crush, or two, or ... [;)]
