I have a questions though. What does this mean to 'get' 15 formulas? Is this an allotment? Where/How do they 'get' them? Is this like a food bank system? No, but I kind of wish it was. At least then the allotment would be for nutritious food or needed formula and the coupons wouldn't be getting sold. When my ex was in the Navy, I did my grocery shopping on Base. I got off work early, so I was usually there midafternoon. Invariably, I would be in line behind a young mother with 2-5 kids, a cart full of groceries (frozen dinners and junk food were frequent purchases), and lots of WIC coupons. Just as invariably, I would check out, go to my old truck, and see the mother I had been behind loading the groceries into a new SUV that hubby bought with his float pay. I have to say that was a bit annoying. What was worse was seeing/ hearing others selling their coupons to pay for things like beer and insurance on those SUVs (conversations carry in big parking lots, and they weren't very subtle about it). That isn't what the program is intended to pay for. This was years ago and things may have changed, although I still sometimes see folks in the local grocery with carts full of frozen and junk food using WIC coupons. Personally, I would like to see the program 'tightened up' rather than cut. [sm=2cents.gif]
